Yeah I've been in a few more events and learned the wheel spin is well controlled in 4HI and MTS=Auto while MTS=Snow seems to allow a bit more spin. Overall it is very good, the only other vehicle I know that does individual wheel spin control so well is a Subaru Outback but the low speed torque delivery is not near as good due to CVT. Overall the OR is able to creep along in sketchy snow > ice mess and move forward when you give it gas.

Similar to what the video above said these tires are pretty good probably the best stock tires I have had on a new truck delivery! I have not changed them yet but I was not using near as much gas pedal as the video but more of a backup and go approach to knock things down keep moving forward slowly. Underlay ice is dicey but only studs help with that.

Yeah same, tight forward or backward turns on mostly dry pavement will jump tire... doesn't seem much different to me than F-150 in same but it I have the shortest wheelbase which is worse.

An update. We got another 3-4 inches of snow yesterday (total of 6-8, depending on where you measure), and there's still a 1/4-1/2" layer of ice at the bottom of it. The blade on the tractor can't quite get under it, and just skims along the top; leaving a nice sheet of glaze with some powder for good measure.

It's a continuous slope, and you have to back down one to turn around. Getting started after backing is the hardest part.

Although I've played with 4HI (and LO, and the diff lock) over the past few days, I can get out just fine in 2HI. Tires are really good.

A few pics looking from the front of the garage, from the shop up the slope you back into to turn around, and up the main part of the drive up to the road.

Tires are what make difference, and if you are buying 4th gen, get 2025 one. Toyota improves issues per year on new gens, all stuff 2024 has will be in 2025 but improved.
