No, it's Zak Brown that's hurting the team. The "we have two #1 drivers" has to go. One is in the points, the other one isn't. They could've swapped, but didn't.

 

And rightly so. It's up to McLaren to take an interest, or not, in Norris' drivers championship hopes.

As Buxton was saying post race, it doesn’t make sense what McLaren/Zak are doing with strategy.

I guess having a manager that was burnt by a team mate ignoring team orders has some influence in the way you operate or what is in your contract.
