Nice. Good race today, this season has been one of the best in a while.

No, it's Zak Brown that's hurting the team. The "we have two #1 drivers" has to go. One is in the points, the other one isn't. They could've swapped, but didn't.

And rightly so. It's up to McLaren to take an interest, or not, in Norris' drivers championship hopes.

    Definitely both right.

As Buxton was saying post race, it doesn’t make sense what McLaren/Zak are doing with strategy.

I guess having a manager that was burnt by a team mate ignoring team orders has some influence in the way you operate or what is in your contract.

He’s going to lose the drivers championship and it will be all his fault. I predict a bad qualifying or component replacement that makes him start from towards the back and he wrecks into someone trying to force his way around like he does. A DNF wil retry much seal the deal for Norris at this rate

They could have finished 1-2. But didn’t. Took their collective eye off the prize.

I’m sure it has nothing to do with an illegal part that was removed.

Oscar did what a racing driver wants to do, not what a team player hoping to help his team with the Constructor's Championship should have done

That said... given the opportunity, can't totally blame him

Race sure is close for the WCC, hopefully they can get their collective shit together and bring the WDC even closer at Baku

Even closer? At this point all they have to do is place ahead and they'll take it from Red Bull. They're only 8 points down.

Could have been leading if they kept the 1-2...

McLaren should take over the WCC no problem. Its the WDC that they should focus on now that they surely have the best car. Kind of blowing it though.

WCC is where the money is.

    F1 constructors prize money 2023
    # Team Estimated prize money ($) In GBP (£)
    1. Red Bull $140 million £111 million
    2. Mercedes $131 million £103 million
    3. Ferrari $122 million £97 million
    4. McLaren $113 million £89 million
    5. Aston Martin $104 million £82 million
    6. Alpine $95 million £75 million
    7. Williams $87 million £68 million
    8. AlphaTauri $78 million £62 million
    9. Alfa Romeo $69 million £54 million

Yes, because being the WDC doesn't bring in any sponsors, or just any money in general.

It may bring sponsorship money since any brand would want to attach its wagon to a popular winning driver.

Yes wow good job with the #'s. but if you noticed Lando and Oscar are racking up points big time compared to RB! So I think that's in the bag. That was my point. Just not finishing in the order that helps Lando overtake Max (fishlips lol). They could be a lot closer in the DC. A long way to go but if Lando can get wins we'll see.

Yes exactly and you remember who wins the championship not necessarily the team.
