Hamilton to Ferarri in 2025 will provide Charles with some non threatening veteran guidance.

I like the idea, if it were to happen, of Sainz to Red Bull, re uniting the Toro Rosso tandem, as it will give the team a nice one two punch without a big threat to Max's dominance. It would be a Hamilton/Bottas dynamic.

I say Lando to take Lewis's seat and Sainz back to McLaren.

Yeh that would be fun. But I think Toto would move up Lando to the Merc but not move George.

Lewis isn't gonna take any bad strategic decisions that's for sure. And he'll be very vocal about it. I hope.

I've been doing more reading on this. The 2028 invite was to GM, not to Andretti/GM. There's more to this story than we are being told, but on the surface it seems like someone in F1 hierarchy has a hate thing for the Andretti family. The Andretti team, with GM engineers on board, have already been building a car and testing in the wind tunnel. They have an agreement to buy engines from Renault until the GM unit is ready. Seems like a shoe-in.

James Vowles spoke eloquently about Andretti several months ago when he explained Williams' definite NO on the issue.. Most of the teams on the grid are bleeding money with owner pouring buckets of their own cash into the teams to keep them afloat.

There is a shortage of deep pocketed sponsors (the Force India and Hass/Ural Kali/Rich Energy debacles are low lights). teams are actively trying to poach sponsors from one another. Where are the new sponsors coming from?

After RB and Mercedes, which teams make money in F1? Possibly Ferarri. Mclaren - deep pockets of Quatar, Austin - Strall, Alpine - how much patience for the waste does Renault have? VCarb is carried by RB. Sauber, Hass, Williams - not a chance.

From a FOM perspective, so what? Andretti/Renault with Cadillac as a sponsor and then Andretti/Cadillac would do nothing but make them money. It would make them more money than Haas and creditcardwhateverthefuckitis and others combined. The teams can complain but its survival of the fittest and it isn't their call. But forv some reason FOM passed and the reasons given were very, very, weak. That tells me palms were being greased big time by the teams to keep Andretti out. Stinks of corruption.

Yeh, I thought since he's principle of both Mercedes teams he can make those changes? I could be wrong.

Toto is only in control of Merceds, has nothing to do with McLaren or Williams (does have clout at Williams tho). McLaren is its own team and always has been, it does use Mercedes engines and that’s it

I must have been thinking of Williams. But he'd buy out Lando's contract I bet to get him. I think it would be a good move.

I think it'll depend on how that Merc looks this season compared to the McLaren, they looked quick at the end and were about the only ones to challenge RedBull last 1/3. Merc was just consistent all year and that's how they got 2nd in Constructors.

Alonso, Albon or Bottas make more sense since they are all on worse teams competitively speaking. Alonso shorter contract before major regs change, help extract most of out of that car. Albon due to young talent and Williams ties (opens door for Mick to come back :notsure: ). Bottas due to familiarity with the team, could challenge George but won't create problems and opens the door for Sainz to get to the "Audi" team a year early. Just my $0.02

Lando and Piastri are very young and too into McLaren right now and idk if they would let them go. McLaren is very hyped this year so that may have won them both over for time being

If we've learned one thing from silly season and/or team moves over the last few years, it's that contracts don't mean diddly squat

Mclaren is owned by Qatar, Lando just signed a contract extension a few weeks ago. He isn't going anywhere. After the Piastri/Alpine fiasco I would think Zak made sure his ducks are in a row.

There is mention of Sainz to Audi, but what becomes of Bottas or Zhou. Bottas can still drive, Zhou brings $$$$$$. Still very plausible.

I see RB as a likely landing spot.

I'd love to see Alonso slaughter George in the back of the garage and on the track as that would likely mean the end of the Strolls. Who would mentor Lance into his ninth season?
