Didn’t catch anything, see them swimming but no luck! it’s pretty comfy with a ground tent and a buddy heater. Rained and snowed a bit last night but was amazing.

Wish I could land a fish, tried over a dozen times last year with cast reel and Japanese fly road no bites. Does the state still stock the lakes?

They still do stock it. I believe 3/7 and 3/8 Lake Pardee, Amador, Camanche and a few others were stocked. It is always hit or miss for me. Some days I won’t land a single fish. But it was great to be out and about even if I skunked.

Keep an eye out when they stock ice house, go hit the inlet with garlic zekes...mostly planters but you might catch a decent holdover or two.

Edit: come camp with us this summer, a few lakes to remain unnamed I can show ya that'll hit...

There’s a glass artist who makes life size glass trout and some skull. Not just trout but they are frigging amazingly detailed works. I follow on IG. He’s https://www.instagram.com/martin_gerdin_glass

if you fish, at the very least, check him out.
