A few additions to make me feel cool.
They put on good hospitality for the fans but you can’t decide a season at a track with a package where the leader is seconds out front and good cars can’t pass.

I don't normally like Logano but I did think his scheme looked good this week with that Mustang fascia.

Why did Ford pull the blue oval off their cars this season? I noticed the Chevy's no longer say "Camaro" on them, too. Toyota branding seems to still be in place on the Camry's.

They still say Camaro on the back.

Not sure on Ford other than the fact that the Mustang hasn't had one on the front since the early 1990's.

Good point. On the race cars, however, they had blue ovals on the hood through last year. This year, it's just the primary sponsor decals repeated across the noses. reminds me more and more of the Australian V8 Supercars from the 1990s. They do carry a "FORD performance" decal above the side exhaust exits. Perhaps it's part of the new Darkhorse branding campaign.

Yeah I noticed too. At first I thought it was kind of plain but now I don't mind it. The Camaro just seems out of place but maybe that's because it is the only of the 3 that didn't get a facelift this year since they can't.

I assume because this is not technically a Mustang. Ford is running a "Dark Horse" hence the reason it essentially has wings on the front fenders. Much like Mopar in the 70's. The blue oval boys have created what they feel will be advantageous on the track and will produce a very limited run to be sold to the public to justify doing so. More than likely they will all be purchased before the average person knows of it and they will be put in collections. Removing the oval and all the black out badging is part of that package I guess.
I have no idea what the future is for Chevrolet at this point. Perhaps the Malibu. I think NASCAR provided a waiver for them to run the current body through 2025 but not exactly going to be any innovation going on.

If what we saw yesterday is any indication. All it will take to win the championship is to stay out then trap your opponents at the rear of the field by forcing a caution or having a teammate do so. I have never been a fan of PIR, I don't like the whole dogleg deal with cars all over the place and all that. Just preference. For what was produced yesterday to determine the outright champion is pretty shameful of NACAR in my opinion. For both fans and drivers. I am of the opinion that it should be a min of collected points over 3 different tracks to determine the champ though. However that negates the hype at the last event of the year and NASCAR wants to hype. Even though this year it will probably be a Toyota pacing the field by 3-6 seconds.

I can see them eventually shifting the finale back over to Atlanta if the racing there keeps making headlines.

I think this will be Toyota's year. I think Ford got greedy with downforce and the cars are slow. I am sure they will figure it out but so far Toyota seems to have done the best job overall. Fords are fast as hell alone but seem slow in the pack.

I think currently Atlanta is the best product NASCAR has. I am interested to see how the race runs at Charlotte on the oval and am excited to have two actual Bristol races again. I was not a big fan of Homestead as the final race either but at this point I would go back to Miami before PIR.

It's too bad RCR's short track package is garbage because Kyle deserves better for Bristol of all places.
