Have y’all seen the swirling rumors about SHR and what will happen in 2025? Absolutely none of this holds any weight to it but here it is:

Stewart & Haas are splitting their assets.

Gene will sell his two charters to Dale Jr who will retain Gragson and Berry.

Stewart will become a Chevy team and retain Preece and Cole Custer.

SHR will close the Xfinity team.

Harrison Burton will be demoted to Xfinity.

Briscoe, who is a Ford driver, will move to the #21

Forgot I was cruising the Harbor Freight thread and posted my reaction there That was pretty awesome!

 

I haven't seen anything that in depth but I have been seeing rumors about SHR selling charters. Still wish they'd shit can that system though but the teams have invested way too much into them for that to happen.

 

I hope this happens but if it does the JRM cars would be Chevrolet also.

This Week's Storylines:

• Dega looks like it could rain out. I might be sick on Monday.
• Bubba and his wife are expecting their first baby.
• Chase is in a great position to win back-to-back.
• Ford could finally win a race this season.
• NASCAR brass and team owners are increasingly tense in their charter discussions and revenue split. Who knows where this could lead? As someone who saw the Champ/Indycar split, I know there are no winners, only losers.

Race History:

• 10 years ago, in the final "499" race, Denny Hamlin won his first points plate race under yellow when Alex Bowman and Justin Allgaier wrecked coming to the white flag.
• 20 years ago- Jeff Gordon beat Dale Earnhardt Jr. when Gordon's teammate Brian Vickers spun, bringing out a late race caution. Gordon was awarded the win under yellow, prompting fans to litter the track with beer cans. This incident led to the adoption of the Green-White-Checker rule.
• 30 years ago- Mark Martin busted through a fence and crashed into the infield, severely banging his beans, and Dale Earnhardt won.
• 40 years ago- 75 lead changes, a record that stood until 2011. Cale Yarborough passed Harry Gant on the last lap for the win.
• 50 years ago- 53 lead changes. David Pearson won his third straight Talladega Spring race with the Wood Brothers.
