2024 NASCAR THREAD

I went to lunch with the fam and did some shopping and turned it on for 15 min while in a delay and just checked back in here to see who won. Does not sound like I missed much. I mean, the 4th of July race weekend is this shit? Really NASCAR.

 

8 car somehow salvages a top 10. If only there was more time. He had a good car on slicks but was terrible on wets.

 

Bubba gave the 48 a nice wallop

Somebody needs to Beat Bubbas Ass. Teach him not to be such a Hamlin.

 

Bubba should be out of a ride. Never has someone so mediocre been so celebrated since Danica.

 

It would be a hate crime and the FBI would be involved. LOL… Then the entire grid would have to walk behind him down pit road with fists raised in support.

 

Amarillo punched him and got suspended

 

I don’t know what the deal was with that but must have done something pretty stupid for that guy to punch you.

 

When he comes back, He needs to get a hold of him and beat his ass for the suspension.

 

Go to You Tube and search for Bubba Wallace. Almost all of the results will be him either fighting or banging into some one.

 

Just saw a comment on an instagram reel of the 23 hitting the 48 after the race and it said “Stenhouse bout to get fined for this”. LOL…

 

At the end of the day the 23 had all day to recover from that. The 48 came back and won the damn race. Not like bubba would not have bounced off a wall or someone else if it hadn’t happened. It had little to no outcome on where he finished. Sure the car took some damage but it was good enough to run where he did.

 

The only part of the 23 team who is worth pulling for is Bootie Barker. That man is a legend and inspiration. Not to mention a damn cool MF. He deserves so much more!
“Bootie you told me 10 weeks ago that you never get to high or too low. Response. Well, looks like I lied to your ass then”. While taking a swig of bourbon. Fucking epic!!

I made a few posts about Hailie Deegan and Bubba Wallace. I just want to be clear about my view point.

I wanted Deegan to win, I wanted her to be competitive. But its just not there. She got by on her name and social media influence, not skill. I also wanted the same for Danica Patrick, yeah I said it, but like Deegan she just wasn't competitive.

Same with Bubba Wallace, I wanted him to succeed. But turns out he's just a bully and gets away with it.

Agree with it or not, NASCAR needs diversity. I do not mean in the politically correct way. NASCAR needs a woman driver and a person of color to be competitive. I want to see this happen. But they need to earn their ride and not be gifted it. Thanks for listening.

 

NASCAR does not “need” any of these things. Does the NFL, NBA or any other sport? What we need is the absolute best possible performers at this level who have earned it. It does not matter what gender or race. If it happens then great but the sport does not need any of that to occur. What is needed is for them to stop trying to tell us that mediocre minorities in the sport are superstars.
