Funny, not a Dillon fan at all but was pulling for him at the end. Shake up the playoffs a little. I'm sure Sr. was wearing a little smirk.
No doubt he pile drove Logano and whine all he wants, he knew it was coming. I've watched the videos and in car cameras and from my old eyes, it sure looked like Hamlin moved up into Dillon trying to block, especially from Dillons in car. Perhaps that's why Hamlin only whined a little instead of going full melt down like Logano. Tighten your belts boys. Just my take for what it's worth.
    Cheers.

Agreed about Hamlin although I think Dillon certainly had a hand in it and he didn't try to make excuses in his post-race interview

I woke up during the night and remembered there was a race. Pulled up the replay and YIKES!

I thought it was cool to see the #3 contending, even if I don't care much for AD. I thought it was uncool when the 41 & & 47 wrecked. I would've been happy with a clean #3 win. But then BIG YIKES on the turn 4 video game move.

I thought both Joey & Denny's post-race interviews were very good. Joey didn't mince words. He said he knew it was coming and he would do the same thing, but didn't expect the bumper from so far back. Nice Job calling out AD for thanking God while wrecking two guys for the win. Likewise for Denny, though he was more measured in his reply (likely being careful to not say anything contradictory, and save his personal opinion for his podcast).

I've never cared for Denny, but I certainly see his side here, and I appreciated his measured response. The man popped his shoulder pretty good. Joey has always been a chaotic neutral for me. I don't love or hate him, but I'm glad he's out there.

One thing is for sure, I bet we see a new rule about non-team members celebrating on pit road during a hot track situation. There were at least two babies in people's arms on pit road as the cars passed through.

Next week's driver meeting is going to be super awkward for AD. He certainly doesn't have many (or any) friends on the race track, and KB isn't going to stick up for him. The #3 is a waste of a playoff position. he'll go out the first round unless he pulls this again.

Shout-out to Wallace bringing it home top-5 with his teammate Reddick. Likewise for Hocevar, bringing it home top-10 and 26 spots ahead of teammate Lajoie. Reddick is now quietly second in points and Wallace is knocking on the top-10. The top four in points (Larson, Reddick, Elliott, Hamlin) are leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the field (56 points).

Two races remain in the regular season and the playoff bubble races is HOT:
    • Gibbs +18
    • Wallace +3
    • Chastain -3
    • Buescher -3

He was certainly most deserving of the win but ideally Wrecky Spinhouse wouldn't have happened either. No cautions for cause all day up to that point.

I liked seeing it (as someone who didn't have a driver that was involved). But, I don't want to see it again. Desperation move from a guy who hasn't been relevant in years and finally had a competitive car at something other than a superspeedway.

That all being said, he and KB definitely seemed to have different setups. I wouldn't doubt if they set them each up differently, swinging for the fences to see what stuck.

Meh the guy that should have won the race, won the race. How he won is certainly debatable and personally IDGAF about the 3 involved. Karma is a thing. I do think hiding behind your baby at the end is kinda chicken shit. I would have at least tried to get Denny or Joey to punch me so they got some points taken away or something now that I was in the Chase. You know just a little more salt in the wound.

Some telemetry has been produced that shows Austin Dillon going 100% throttle into Logano and then jerking nearly 34* to the left, and Denny's rear quarter panel. I don't think he meant to widow hook Denny, but certainly intended to slow his momentum by door-banging. Based on previous events, I'd imagine:

$50,000 for the Logano deal and "influencing the ending of the race on the final lap" (a super vague ruling NASCAR keeps in its back pocket thanks to Ross Chastain)
$50,000 and a 1-race ban for the Denny hook (hard to argue against this based on the damning telemetry),
    *OR*
They might do what they did to Joey at Richmond a few years back and call it an encumbered win, meaning it doesn't count towards a playoff position.
I don't agree with the race bans (like they did for Elliott and Wallace), but they set a precedent and I'd expect them to be consistent.*

    * They never are.

I'd be curious to see it after hearing Dillon's explanation. Given that he hasn't tried to deny anything, I don't know that he (at least from his point of view) is trying to lie. He definitely would have turned pretty sharp to avoid Logano.

I also expect to see Logano get a penalty as well. After the race he did a small burnout and got sideways on pit road with people around when he was frustrated.

Through Dillon's window you can definitely see him move down slightly to avoid Logano. Natural reaction but Hamlin definitely moved up to block. 2 cars in the same real estate. I'd like to see Denny's telemetry. As I mentioned before, Denny whined but not his usual amount. While the heats on Dillon, he's not going to mention the block. No excuse for Logano putting other people at risk on pit road.

I have no use for Austin, Joey or Denny so I say just give them all a 1 race ban for being involved. LOL.

Here's the telemetry showing Austin's previous lap trajectory vs the last lap trajectory:

Out of everything that went down.
Logano is the one that definately violated the rule book with his antics on pit road. I suspect he will definately get a fine for that.

Honestly, I'd like to hear Rusty Wallace's take on this...he's been the recipient of this by the best 3

Sliced bread needs a penalty for his pit antics...agreed

Dangerous move for sure! Besides NASCAR officials, there were women and children on pit road.

I hope a suspension is in play.
