Surprised there's been no news from NASCAR yet. Sounds like they're waiting until tomorrow

Also, forecast looks iffy (again) for MIS this weekend. It has been affected by rain for every race since at least 2021.

Hamlin’s post race interview was epic.
    Perfectly explained.

    “what? The invisible line?”

that dump job would never be tolerated in F1

    speaking of F1…….
    (Totally overshadowed by 3car’s actions)
    I LOVED THE TIRE CHOICES
34car up….what 24 positions in middle of race?
12car and 99car made serious runs at the end as well on reds

It’s going to be a fire fight bc of a Hendricks win…..
    But
Wouldn’t be surprised if they vacated the win.

    I haven’t heard personally
Chatter that 3car’s spotter saying to “wreck him” on radio

    definitely will be interesting.
But will be 3days after the finish

    my Dad always told me
    “No decision IS a decision.”

based on AD’s interview today, the spotter said wreck him. The spotter also reached out to Denny and apologized saying he *did* tell Austin to wreck him.

    ^^^^^ like Hamlin explained

    “I get It….so much on the line…..”

funny, Hamlin didn’t say that he has done same dump b4.
Remember when he dumped MattyD at Bristol for the win?

I tell you what, will be really disappointed if NASCAR doesn’t do/make some kind of statement.
Don’t care if 3car gets win or takes away

    They need to say something

A few additions to make me feel cool.
What everyone should be talking about is NASCAR again allowing a car to lay back and slow roll the leader at the restart. The 22 laid back and had a better restart, ditch the whole fire off deal and make it to where the control car must be the first to cross the start finish line on a restart. Had NASCAR black flagged the 22 on the backstretch then the 3 would have been in the lead and won the race as he deserved.
I do not like AD, I was not a fan of the poor sportsmanship he displayed to win it but that is what NASCAR has created. Not to mention had it not happened it would have been a pretty boring race. Long story short. It could not have happened to two more deserving guys. The 11 and 22 collectively have dumped more people for the win than anyone else. The 22 did not get a better restart than the 3. They were all on new super sticky reds. He laid back and had more momentum than the 3. Had the 3 by almost a fender at the start finish and should have been flagged on the restart. Go back to single file restarts on a GWC and they will knock that shit off.
Plus, NASCAR got exactly what they wanted here. Short track night race. Tempers flaring. They want the drama. The next two tracks will be tough for any retribution but I bet when they get to Darlington or the next short track they play that clip and promote the shit out of this.

    Well thought out, lucid statement
Totally agree with everything you stated

also gave me some insight that NASCAR won’t say anything about the end of Sunday’s race.

I've never been a fan of AD in the past but he's been so irrelevant lately that I couldn't help but root for him there. Kind of like rooting for McDowell when he has a competitive car. I completely disagree about single file restarts (I hope those things never read their ugly head again). But I agree about crossing the line first. They went away from that when they created the whole restart zone and now it only applies at the start of the race. I liked the concept of the restart zone but it has lost the original allure since almost everyone seems to wait within it and the best know how to time it when the control car waits.

    Work in progress...
After a "normal" NASCAR race finish, pit road is not a safe place to be. These dumbasses, all of them because I see them all do it, know better than bring their kids to the pits with the cars still fired up. I'm not saying it's OK to get stupid after a race. Stupid has become normal I guess. NASCAR will probably make a rule restricting race tract and pit road access after someone get seriously injured or worse.

I was surprised to see women all dolled up and not just children but infants on a hot pit road! When I was in the garage/pits in the late '90s, it was very strict for everyone: Long pants were mandatory, no poly-based fabrics (flammable), no one under 18 permitted.

22 getting towed off Pit Road. Track bar shot.

I was actually in the #3 pit stall when bone head came in front of it for his "protest".
He disreguards several Officials and nearly ran over some team pit crew guys and Officials on his way down to #3's pit. Not to mention the fans, (family), heading out to celebrate with the #3 team. This has been allowed for several years now.
All cars, immediatley after the race, with the exception of the race winner have to enter pit road in order of their finish, line up along outside wall of pit road and wait to be released by NASCAR to return to the garage and haulers.
They separate the top 4 cars and any randoms they may pick to inspect. Those 4 and any randoms are lined up separate from the other cars along the outer pit lane and will have an Official assigned to each. That Official stays with their assigned car until inspection is complete.
One of my jobs is to insure each of the top 5 cars and any randoms have enough Race Fuel to top off the car prior to getting on the scale. I always check the winners Fuel Cans first because they are the last to go through tech.

From what I saw, and how P--ssed the NASCAR Official were at Logano, I would be surprised if he is not fined and docked some points for that.
