I hate superspeedway racing because it is kind of anyone's race if you get lucky enough. That being said, I completely agree that this wasn't a fluke win as well.

    With Harrison's win,
There have been 14 different winners this season. He's now won as many races as Logano, Cindric, Dillon, Elliott, Keselowski, Bowman, and Suarez.
I too, miss Eli Gold. Too bad he had to go and slide into some young staffer's DMs like he did. We had brit David Hobbs calling races from the mid-'70s until the mid-'90s, and Scotsman Sir Jackie Stewart before him. Their distinct voices resonate in my head, likely because my grandparents are Brit and Scot.

It's frustrating, but the fact I missed the Wood's 100th win has me flustered. Saturday had all the things that make for a modern classic race. I just got off the phone with the Talladega ticket office. Looks like I'm headed there between my Atlanta and Martinsville jaunts.

I suspect the 45 will be extremely strong this weekend. He and the 5 both love riding the wall and have everything to lose and little to gain. Denny is really good at Darlington and he has a lot to gain from the 45 winning the regular season.

    ??

My mom is but I’m not. I’m straight out of the Florida Panhandle. Black water, dirt roads, trailer parks, and shucked oysters.

Right! I feel like he works so hard at being the person that he thinks everyone expects him to be and putting on this face that is just not who he is. If and when he finally gets out of his head and just says F it and is himself he will find success. He has the best ownership, leadership and equipment you can ask for. He needs to relax.
It's like he thinks if he beats himself up enough that no one else will call him out. Maybe it is a defense mechanism but I doubt he actually feels that way. Outside of the car he seems happy and carefree. He needs to take that approach and just take what the car, his talents and the race gives him and just let it be that.

You nailed it 100%. I remember being that way when I was working in my early 20s. If I was late for a job or messed up I'd get all down on myself but then I realized it was really just performative for my boss and I didn't really feel that way inside. I started owning up to my mistakes and taking my licks and I got better because of it.

I love all the people thinking Kyle Busch has a warrant in Mexico and can't go. Apparently they didn't pay attention that the matter was resolved.

I did not work the races down there in 05-08 but the guys that did had body guard types that escorted them everywhere.
Situation in Mexico is much worse now than back then. Probably gonna be a logistical nightmare.
