A few additions to make me feel cool.
NASCAR might be stepping in to try and help them find some speed. LOL...

Next week is going to be crazy. Both the 24 & 5 are a little to close to try and point in. I expect the 24 will try to point in and see where it goes for the first stage and will flip if it is not going well. Could have the 24,5,9, 12 & 11 all in a must win.

Man, I am pumped for Martinsville. The weather looks great. Only Logano and Reddick are safe. No one else is mathematically safe entering the weekend, so everyone will fight hard for the win.

These new bodies are bumper cars, especially on a short track like Martinsville. The 5, 11, 12, and 9 are all out on points, but they've all won at Martinsville in the past.

It's a good thing Reddick won to advance, as he's the least successful at Martinsville among the 8 contenders. Based on stats and recency, I'd lean towards the 5, 12, or 24 getting the win.

I could see Logano running blocker for Blaney again, like last Fall. Truex might lend a hand for the 20 and 11. I suspect shenanigans from Gibbs are similar to last year's race. Bowman will likely let his teammates sort it out amongst themselves.

I hope to arrive in time for the Friday truck race, but it's a 5.5-hour haul, and we have to set up camp before dark.

Martinsville wins by top-8 Cup driver (in order of current points standings):
    1. Bell: 1 (2022)
    2. Byron: 1 (2022)
    3. Reddick: 0
    4. Logano: 1 (2018)
    5. Larson: 1 (2023)
    6. Hamlin: 5 (hasn't won here since 2015)
    7. Elliott: 1 (2020)
    8. Blaney: 1 (2023)
Avg. Martinsville finish among top-8 Cup drivers:
    1. Logano: 5.3
    2. Blaney: 6
    3. Larson 7
    4. Byron: 7.7
    5. Elliott: 9.7
    6. Hamlin: 11.1
    7. Bell: 14.7
    8. Reddick: 19.1

I think every track should get a shot at the playoffs. Obviously not every track can be the championship race, but still.

I'm fine with this suspension but it appears NASCAR took action because of the outcome rather than the intent of the action. I don't like the idea of punishment based on an uncontrollable variable (fireball and hospitalization). PLENTY of guys have dumped a driver out of anger. Shoot, it's part of the sport. Does this mean dumping is okay as long as you don't fireball the other guy?

There's the whole weekend storyline, denny goes to backup car and will probably win the damn race now. Nascar's drama for the cut race. Hope the bastard doesn't win though.

If the Duche Bag wins starting in the back, in a back up car. Something is definitely wrong.
