They didn’t slow down and let him by. It’s a bad look but it was the lesser of two evils per the rule book.

 

I think this is less about 20 and more aboot the blocking

 

NASCAR accepts manufacturers playing block to advance the brand. No different than what is done at every plate track. Not a great look but it’s an acceptable part of it. Having a car claim they have a tire going soft and pulling over to let another overtake and then gassing up and riding the wall is clearly against the rules. Like it was clearly covered for this track alone. Both of them are wrong so who the fuck knows.

Oh well, everyone is wrong here. I think on one side you have three non affiliated teams who chose to block for the manufacture. On the other you have two closely affiliated teams with one dude totally full of shit about a tire and clearly pulling over for the other and then the 20 clearly not getting out of the gas after getting into the wall. A clear violation and something nascar said they would not put up with again.
