    The #24 wins the 2024 Daytona 500 24 hours after it was supposed to start. The headlines seem to write themselves. I've felt "meh" after this race for ten years. The last truly exciting finishes for me were Earnhardt Jr. in 2014 and Bayne in 2011.

    I thought the race overall was pretty good and that's from someone who can't stand superspeedways. But the ending was a terrible way to finish. That's how it goes sometimes though.

    Yup, typical plate race. 190 laps of shuffling (with a few interesting story lines thrown in) then a 10 lap wreck fest. Hendrick boys take out half the field (although I do like Larson and Elliott I'm not a Hendrick fan) and sort of cruise to glory with a 1-2. Glitz and sideshows are over, real season starts this weekend.

    Agreed. Although at least it was 190 laps of shuffling this time as opposed to 10 laps of racing and 190 laps of single file racing where no one can get a run.

    Can’t say I was too impressed with the Xfinity race. Mostly follow the leader with few lead changes. Feel bad for Jesse Love, he dominated the day and lost the win with everyone stretching fuel and the last minute caution causing overtime. The most excitement was inside the last 10 laps.
