I just purchased a new 2024 Tacoma SR5 4x4 June 29, 2024. Below are the particulars of the transaction with the dealership. I don’t think it was a great deal, but fair.

 

After adding all that bullshit they knocked off 9k?

 

I added the legitimate Toyota items the dealer added on the Toyota website and the TSRP ended up being $44,640. So about 5K off TSRP.

 

I won't even give a place like that my business. They add all that stuff at about a 90% mark up then discount off the inflated total making people think they get a good deal. Horrible tactics. We have 2 local dealers that do that. I am buying from a dealer the next state over that will deliver the truck to my door for free without that BS. I love supporting local business but not that much.

Yea, I hate it too. Wasted time and energy. I wonder how that works on their books.

 

I ended up paying $42,500 out the door, including tax (6.5%), tag, and title.

 

Pretty good. 5.8% off MSRP. Plus whatever value you attach to those extra dealer items. If you were going to buy running boards anyway and like those then there’s some value. lol, the first picture scared me with $6700 of dealer add-ons!
