2024 Price Thread - What Did You Pay For Your Tacoma?

Congrats on the new ride! Even though it looks like you paid MSRP, it looks like you got about 1000 over private party on your trade-in which is debatably like getting a $1000 discount. I know all about Southeast Toyota Toyoguard. Ugh

I have no idea if that's a good deal. It does not feel like one in retrospect. I think it's about 10.5% off MSRP ($45,559/$50,909). Maybe a little more if you add the cost of the DIO window tint and PPF to the window sticker MSRP number? It's a nice truck.

(Fun fact: Back in 2020, I thought it might be a great time to pick up a new Tacoma because dealers must be hurting from Covid shutdowns. The window sticker had a line called "Dealer Markup" that was $12,000. I asked what that bought. Nothing. They were just selling Tacomas at $12,000 over MSRP because they could. So, compared to THAT, I guess I got an okay deal four years later.)

 

as of today, I say you did good. In 3 months you might have been able to do better...but who knows.

fees are a bit stupid from this dealer but they gave me 7k for my trade that was only worth 6k so the bottom line was in line with the other two dealerships I shopped.

This is a cash deal so there was no finance money for them to make which also hurts when trying to get a discount.

I basically paid MSRP out the door.

 

The sheet says that's the "market value selling price." Usually, that's after the dealer jacked the price up. Dunno.

 

I'd say you did a little bit lower than Average.

I see some TRD off roads going for around 43k-44k. Average OTD seems to be 45-46k.

Yes, I feel your $$$-pain in GA ... the ... "SET CARTEL" ... I have purchased a lot of Toyotas and now I look outside "SET LAND" ...

Good luck, I noticed your pic, if you are a quality assurance officer I'd be going over the truck with a fine tooth comb seeing all the QC issues we've seen so far.

 

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this but maybe you guys can help.

New Toyota buyer here. The dealership I'm talking to is offering a TRD Off Road Premium with a TSRP of $53.4k and a $2.8k discount/adjustment so the advertised amount is about $50.6k. That's about a 5.2% discount. I was trying to get them to do a 10% discount so it'll be around $48k. I'm from WA, so with with TTL, the out the door price would be around $52.9k if I got the 10% discount. I've only talked via email and they stated their prices are non-negotiable because they're non-commissioned and whatever type of dealership.

So my question is whether the 5.2% discount is decent enough for WA and it's a fair price (assuming they don't add more on during the sale) or I should keep shopping? And how legit is this "non-negotiable" policy?
