A co-worker sent me this, said she pulled it off the web. Reported to be northern Maine. In these days of AI, I wonder… the lighting seems off.

Yeah it's fake, but it's 100% what I expected to happen in the north maine woods. It's mud season up there, and nobody knows how those roads are. GPS will send you 100 miles down the golden road in a prius, GOOD LUCK!

I had fun at work today. I ran into my first flat earther. He told me all about how it was not the moon eclipsing the sun but never really said what it was. I also learned that gravity is made up and it is actually a magnetic force. I had to stop and get back to work when he started on the ice wall or some shit. Nice guy but his tinfoil hat is wrapped too tight.

    Nice! Link?

Also, a couple of messages for the visitors to NH’s North Country for the eclipse:

    1) If you threw trash out your vehicle, screw you. Don’t bother coming back.

    2) One lane, covered bridges only work if you wait for the car that’s on it to complete their traverse across the bridge in it’s entirety. They do not work if you drive onto the bridge while a car is driving towards you.

2a) Bonus tip, if there are two cars traveling in opposite directions stuck on a covered bridge, it is not helpful to also drive on to the bridge hoping it will break the stalemate.

Looks like they might have sold out.

:) yup. Sounds about right. "But there were no trash cans, why didn't the town put out trash cans for us?!"

 I can just imagine the thought process. "If there's TWO of us, then we have more people so we matter more, right?"

The level of preparedness I see on an average camping trip is abysmal, let alone this one where a bunch of people decided to do a day trip down a 1 lane highway in the Notch, and go into the woods of Coos - I can't even imagine.

Ahh, too bad about the patch, it’s a lot less busy than the Tim Gagnon one I got from AB.
    IMG_7033.jpg

AB must have a bunch left over considering the number of emails I’ve got for it :D

I'm glad you all had a great Eclipse trip!
This was from my deck in Island Pond with my dog Simon and my 90 year old Mom.

    Thank you!

PS y'all who came - this is who we have to thank for verifying that the site was accessible and wasn't gated. Spent a while trying to find spots and she came in clutch, and sent over maps and was a huge - instrumental - help to the whole trip.
