2024 steel wheels info and specs

The reason I asked, is I have a set of steelies on order from toyota for winter tires, haven't received them yet. I've found a set of tacoma center caps for previous gen for sale on line. It appears they are held on by the wheel nuts. The price is right so I'll probably buy them and see if they fit. If they don't.. I'm only out $30.

 

Ah I see. The centercaps on steel wheels clasp to the edge of the steel rim between the rim and the hub. Lug nuts have nothing to do with them at all.

 

So I guess they will be no good to me because the 4th gen rims have a smaller center bore. I thought the nuts held them on. Thanks for pointing this out to me. I'll be pricing the 2024 centers tomorrow.

 

And I'd love to know if the steelies are black or silver. The dealer has no specs on them and have no idea on eta. I want silver.

 

What is the bore size on this? Did it need a hub centric ring? I thought the hub was 92.5mm?

On the 3rd Gen it’s common to use the OEM spare steel wheel as a full time wheel for those that want steelies. Does the 4th Gen use steel spares?

 

These are 17x7.5 from an earlier pre 2024 4Runner/ Fj cruiser. Old style, the center cap is roughly 4.1/8” or 104mm, center bore in 106mm I believe, I have them on a 2023
