2024 Supercross Thread

The kid needs to tone it down a bit. He’s looking like a fool out there.

 

Ricky’s commentary. “he didn’t go full throttle”. Ugh, he was in slick mud of course he didn’t go full throttle. Sure did make up spots though.

 

Pretty uneventful race. The top guys are starting to show themselves. Feel bad for the card girl. Now they are going to have to hire someone to escort them around. (Me-me-me)

 

By the time we get to the main these tracks end up with one massive rut as the primary line and not many opportunities for passing. Makes for a boring race. They need to fit in an intermission/halftime to do track maintenance. Bring the freestyle guys out there to entertain for a half hour or so.

 

It seemed like they did more tractor work this week than usual. The track looked fun, but I can agree that by the main it was pretty boring. I am excited that they do 250 heats first again. That was a weird switch up they did a few weeks back.

When JT interviewed Max, good for Max being able to hold it together after his bike blew up. Vialle beginning to look like the next Marv. Wonder if Vialle can do those long winded interviews in the future and finish line heel clickers.

 

Vialle looked good, but no whoops on the track. Indy will be a different story this weekend.

 

The problem is you're always going to have a main line carved in with imported dirt and only like 2' of cover. I think moisture has also had a lot to do with the tracks this year. Bubba even mentioned on his podcast how Daytona is usually built a couple of weeks in advance so it has time to harden up, but this year Dirtwurx was contracted to build and did it the week of. As we saw, this was the most broken down Daytona track in a long time. Same could be applied for all of the tracks that have gotten rained on for multiple days before the race.

 

I just saw that Cody Shock ended up breaking his collarbone when Deegan took him out in the last corner. That was unnecessary for 7th place.

 

....and no penalty for that.... They got him for roosting between track lanes and gaining 1 spot (2 spot penalty) and then fined $1000 for acting like a bitch with Hammaker....I wish Friese would ride 250 East a few rounds with that little spoiled cunt

I’ve been a fan of Baby Deegan cause the kid can twist the throttle. But Haiden needs to back down his expectations before it gets the best of him. Kid could become the GOAT if he would control the passion and fire.

 

Danger Boy got a 3(?) place grid penalty for cutting the track.

 

He has a huge following of young people including my own kids. It’s good for the future of the sport but he needs to learn that everything is on video and to not be a douche.

 

2 spots IIRC...7th to 9th. He accelerated off track and.gained 1 position. AMA put him.back one and then fined one for "accelerating off course" or whatever.

You mean anger and aggression? Coming up to guys pit areas and breaking peoples collar bones?

 

As opposed to Jett grabbing a guys helmet? There seems to be a lot of entitlement on the track this year.

 

Jett apologized (at least his PR rep did) and didn’t blatantly run into a guy breaking his collarbone to gain a place. Any word from Deegan? Nope.

The latest Dirt Shark video has some funny commentary about Anderson’s latest crash with Jett. Deegan somewhat admitted that he needs to calm down in some video I saw. Not sure about any formal apology. He needs to get a PR person or find a better one if he already has one.
