They need to put Haley on the night show in place of Wil. She actually knows what she’s talking about… and she’s a babe.

 

Was she the one last year interviewing the guys at the gate a few mins before the drop? They all tried to ignore her. Maybe I'm mixing her up with someone else

 

Is crazy how much this RC vs Blair thing is blowing up. My YouTube feed is filled with videos about it now. Will NBC do anything?

 

Different person. Haley is only on race day live at the moment.

 

If it's not big enough yet, it will be soon. I don't think this is going to go away for RC and crew. This isnt politics where some new thing tomorrow will be the next headline. And the moto community doesn't forget easily.

I wouldn't feel bad if RC had to leave the booth, but idk how hooked he is with NBC. As a paying customer it's kinda nice getting a voice. Maybe I'll join in the revolt against RC.

 

I finally gave in and listened to DB's vid and a couple other things about it... I wish he had given himself a chance to cool down before making the video so that he could tell the story better. He was visibly triggered, and I think it made it hard for him to be clear. Probably made it internally harder to make the video too.

I'm not inclined to disbelieve him, and hearing his experience does rile me a bit about how he was treated, but at the same time, as I listened it really felt like there are some other sides to the story. Don't know if there will be any kind of response, since they'll probably think that would just fan the flames, but I do hope there are some backroom conversations happening and some sharing of regrets, reparations and reconciliation can come about.

 

It seems like the whole sport is a disaster from the organizers, promoters, broadcast, etc. Everyone only cares about themselves and their own wallet.

Thanks. I'd seen a little snippet of that, but the snippet didn't cover all of it. It's painful to watch Blair take it on the chin like that.. you wish one of the fans would've put that little bitch (Ricky) in his place. A single guy just saying, "What the fuck is wrong with you? You owe him and apology. We'll wait." Would've made the whole thing much easier to watch.

 

To complicate things even further, I heard an audio clip this morning that was Weege saying Ricky was the nicest guy ever and has been nothing but nice to Weege. Looking at the big picture, I think all sides screwed up multiple times and no one will admit it or get past their ego. But guess what! I'm still gonna watch INDY tonight!

 

It would be one thing to say some shit behind close doors, but doing it in front of others like that? Nah. That's FAFO behavior.

 

I suppose that does make the situation messier, but it's not necessarily surprising. A narcissist will usually have some well-placed flying monkeys. You see it in online discussion boards all the time.. someone calls out a narcissist for gaslighting, but instead of backing them up, people deny the gaslighting, back up the narcissist and pile on the victim. Flying monkeys don't usually know what they're participating in, but their actions help to create a baseless but often debilitating self-doubt in the victim. It's a thing.

But yeah...

That's true of course, but there's a third option.. just stay out of it. "Sorry, but I don't wanna get involved" is a perfectly respectful, reasonable response when asked to participate in someone else's drama. I feel like Weege and DB probably have (or maybe had) a good working relationship, and there's nothing wrong with not wanting to torpedo that. But alas, apparently Ricky sucked him in. Or maybe Ricky's agent, or someone at NBC. Call me cynical, but I doubt he did this entirely of his own volition.

 

*MUTE* I won't be listening to a single moment of the broadcast while Leighttle Dickie and Dicky Cuntmichael are on it. And I hope the sponsors and ad spot buyers know that I won't be hearing their expensive commercials or brand names a single time until they're both fired.

Also, I like Brayton and AC on RDL, but I find myself wishing no one would take the job until Dickie&Dicky face consequences.

 

Pretty weird. I’m thinking RC started out thinking he was being funny and then took it a bit too far. I doubt he would intentionally start a fight in front of a group of fans but who knows, he certainly isn’t the brightest bulb.

 

I kind of wanted to think the same thing, but absolutely nothing in his intonation, body language, facial expressions, or responses looked jovial, or anything other than pure nasty. And no apology or even explanation, either to DB himself or publicly. It still feels like something is missing, but sometimes that's how jealousy looks.. i just can't find anything to support the joking around theory.

 

That race was boring as hell
