Gentlemen! Let's talk... thoughts on the results? Some huge shockers for me, probably most surprised by Ferrandis finishing 16th

    Was there. Had good time.

Was surprised Tomac didn't lead any laps in heat or main. Same with Webb

Was cool to see 125cc 2 stroke in the lights class. Guy went to LCQ n crashed but was definitely a fan favorite

Fun night of racing with lots of bar banging. I was also very surprised that Dylan finished so poorly, stalling his bike in the woops didn't help. With so many riders capable of winning a race this year the results were not that surprising to me

Roczen looked fast and smooth, let's see if can keep it up all year.
Sexton was probably the fastest, I love watching him ride, not crash.
    Webb was on the gas
Barcia looked good. Bam Bam is Back
Surprised by Musquin finishing so strong, new nickname, (Bam Bam part Deux)
Stewart should have finished better, Thanks Marvin
Tomac just Sucks at starting, I wonder if he ever practices. He needs to hire Alessi as his starting coach.
Anderson looked great and was fast, I kinda had a feeling he would not finish well tonight, Thanks Bam Bam and picked him to finish 10th in the fantasy league.

Can't wait for Round 2. Lots of good old fashioned hard racing that's going to get ugly.

Well said. Tomac has never been good at starting as you mentioned but I'm wondering if he is still uncomfortable on the new bike or maybe his setup isn't quite dialed in yet. Pretty uncharacteristic to see him out of the top 5. Sexton was KILLING it. If he can keep it up on 2 wheels I'm for sure looking at him as a contender for this year.

I'm happy with Craig's performance in the 250s I think he looked good too.

Agreed, I thought Craig did an amazing job. I thought he was going to fade towards the end, but he didn't.

Well, my picks for the RMATVMC sweepstakes were based upon lap times and watching how comfortable the riders seemed with the track during qualifying. Toward the beginning and middle of the race my picks were pretty close, but as crashes occurred, time went on, and the checkered waved, they were all wrong.

I have to say thanks to @MTB58 for recommending Peacock. It's definitely worth the $5 a month for the race coverage.

I will say the track looked extremely tight and difficult and I knew that would take a toll on even the most physically fit riders. The weight of the 450's and their power proved to be a handful for a lot of the top pros.

I was super pumped to see Chase Sexton charging all night and nipping at Roczen's heels. Roczen needs that. Chase gained a ton of positions after crashing while battling for first with Roczen and wasn't out of breath when interviewed. I think he's got several 450 podium finishes in his future this season.

Malcom Stewart also seemed to have really improved and he looks a lot more comfortable on the Husqvarna. I'd like to see him podium more often.

Dylan Ferrandis was an absolute disappointment considering his qualifying times and Tomac, well, I hope he doesn't pull a Chad Reed and drag out his career past his physical ability. Better to retire on top.

As far as the 250f's their was lots of talent. Hunter Lawrence stepped up and did awesome, Christian Craig still holds his own for his age, and Seth Hammaker is always fast.

Cooper Webb's got his work cut out for him if he wants to keep that red plate.
This season's going to be good, real good.

    Until next Friday...:bikewhoops::goingcrazy:

What a lot of CHAOS. That's what I love about MX. Looked like a set up for another Raczen/Webb seasons though. Next weekend Oaktown!

I'm doing it for the first time ever. Somehow, I am leading in my group. I thought I did terrible, but I guess everyone else did also. It's really tough to predict when the field is so deep.

Ya he is running 250B Am. Romano seems to be 1 year ahead of him, so that they can pretty much sweep the A and B in amateurs. Then I assume Romano will move to pro first and then Deegan can either do a year in A amateur or also move up. I bet Romano is up in 23 and Deegan will stay down for 1 more year and move up in 24.

I'm in 20,446th place. I had a horrible day with my picks, the only one I got right was Jason Anderson in 10th. I think this year will be very difficult because the number of riders capable of winning on any given night.

Well, I have a current score of 10 points with an overall rank of 71,164. :facepalm:Tomac, Anderson, and Ferrandis really cost me some points on the last round. However, I'm super excited for tomorrow's race and can't wait for qualifying. Also, I thought this was pretty cool to catch on camera.

Ya I had both Yamahas in the top 5 also lol. I hit on Barcia at 3 though, so I think I have 36 points or something like that.

And Mookie kept it civil there, so I gotta give him credit. For being so upset, he was pretty respectful.

Deegan stays healthy he might break some records. The kid is gifted on on a motocross bike. When he physically matures and gets some muscle he will be ready to roost on Supercross tracks.

    :bikewhoops:

Factory Yamaha keeps losing riders to big crashes Danger Boy might get called up sooner than later.

Lucky that team was so massive to begin with lol. Losing 2 of their 250 riders by Rd1 is brutal. But they still have Craig who is probably the West title favorite now and JMart should go head to head with Jett on East rounds.

Having big jumps right after the start are gnarly, always causes bad wrecks. Two sets of whoops again, I think picking the smooth consistant riders over the fast bar banging guys is the way to go
