He should smash everyone at SX Futures, so we really won't learn anything from that.

Ya, he's looked a lot better than the 2 Star riders so far this year lol. He's riding really well. The 2 Star guys haven't looked very good, for what is expected from them. Granted, Kitchen's crash tonight was bad luck, but still.

For real, I was pretty bummed to see Kitchen go out like that tonight.

Same. Kid has had some bad luck. I think he will come alive, outdoors.

He doesn't get tired of winning, that's for sure. Kudos to Coop for sticking with him through the end.

As a side note. Eli's bike is fookin dialed. Soaks up where it needs to, sits in the corners, deflects off everything in a corrective manner. That 2023 is seriously on another level from everyone else.

I don't understand the rumor that he doesn't like the bike or was struggling with it. I agree he looks dialed. The bike looks great.

That was an interesting segment about Tomac last night. Is he thinking about racing another season now!?

It does seem like his demeanor has changed. That segment especially seemed like it. If he does, I would think it might be another SX only deal. Not sure. I still lean towards him not doing the Outdoors this year but things change.

I knew it would be another boring race to watch. Both Lawrence and Tomac shot
out to early leads and never were pressured. Track was pretty lame. :bikewhoops::bikewhoops:
What the heck happened to Malcom Stewart in the 450 main?:notsure:

Even with him saying he only wanted to race SX, it doesn't make any sense considering the series is 31 races deep. Can't have the star racer only compete in half of the races.

IIRC, he could race SX only and still qualify for the Supermoto playoff thing at the end of the year where they payout the big bucks. I'd have to look up the rules again tho.

He's at the end of his career and Star would have no problem with that. The guy doesn't want to do a season-long grind. He's been very vocal about it. Obviously I don't know what he's going to do but so far there has been no indication that he will race Outdoors. That could change but I'm sure it's something he will need to decide soon, so Star can prepare for having him there all summer (ordering parts, staff etc. That all gets done in advance.) We might not hear about it until closer to May but Star would need to know sooner, behind closed doors. They already basically have Justin Cooper in limbo because Eli is racing SX. He pointed out of 250SX and they didnt want to lose him so they arepaying him to basically race a couple 450SX races later this year and then races 250s outdoors. I think there is a better chance of Eli doing another year of SX only than doing a full year this year (or next.) I guess we will see what happens.

Or maybe he just races a couple motocross races if needed to qualify for the playoffs. Then he can win it all and retire.

My favorite comment about San Diego came from Steve Matthes.

"Thank you to Suzuki for not putting an electric start on your bike. It got A-Ray into the main event."
