Deeg has poor corner speed on the supercross tracks, it can be seen in his Instagram and YouTube posts as well. They need to get it figured out first and not even consider a pro debut next week.

Funny how Bennick cannot maintain the speed Deegan has on practice tracks. Deegan was riding just as fast
as the Factory 250 guys on Star's practice track. Deegan looks more comfortable on full speed corners. Supercross
is a lot of hard braking and squaring off full throttle out of turns. Deegan will figure it out. Sucks to be beat by your
slower buddy in your Supercross debut. :bikewhoops:

What about Eli launching himself into the tuff blocks. :bikewhoops:

Deegan will turn it around eventually, but you gotta get off the pedastal a little bit and give credit where due to Dax. He isn't a slouch by any means.

IMO, he could wait another year, but if his peer group hits the big show, he'll be a season behind. Putting him in now allows him to learn to deal with the nerves and pressures before he gets to outdoors. Basically, flip a coin because it's a crap shoot regardless what you do.

The 250F class is more competitive and fun to watch. I thought Kawasaki was missing a 250F rider. I just realized Seth Hammaker has been out due to wrist injury. He was super fast last year.

Bennick wants it more than Deegan and hasn't had everything handed to him like Haiden has. Bennick looked very smooth riding that track whereas Haiden was tense and nervous. Deegan needs more time and training, but I really want him to pony up and run with it this season. Can't hold daddy's hand forever. :boink:

No doubt in the amateur races Bennick has been Deegan's bridesmaid. So last nights
win had to be meaningful to him. Deegan with the Factory Contract. Bennick getting nothing
but a uniform and a bike. :bikewhoops:

I guarantee Bennick will get a contract after that last race win.

Bennick also took the 250 B overall at Lorettas this year. Deegen took 250 B overall at Mini O's. Wouldn't say he's Deegans bridesmaid in ams, they've battled for years now.

Hammaker wasn't supposed to race the west rounds anyways. Yes, he is injured but he was scheduled to ride the East rounds with Shimoda. And Reynolds they never announced because he was hurt when they were deciding who was racing where.

As far as Deegan, he didn't look great. Could just be the pressure got to him. I can't imagine he races the pro race this weekend but who knows. He looked good in qualifying but Beaumer looked he best in that. Bummer that he had his bars bend or roll down on lap 1 of the actual race. Bennick rode well. Just because he doesnt have a pro contract right now doesnt really mean anything. He left KTM's Factory Am team, to come to Star. He's on a top bike so he can prove what he can do. If Star can't retain him, someone else will hire him, when he decides to go pro full time. He did exactly what he went to Star to do, show that he can run up front. So I wouldn't worry about him.

Is it just me or does Carmichael just suck as an announcer? GOAT rider and racer, but WOAT announcer. Bring back Bubba!!!

Wasn't to impressed with Deegan, he has been sitting on that pedestal so long I think it's getting to him. I wish little Deegan the best, just never been a fan of papa Deegan. Hopefully he can work on that mental toughness. Haiden should wait until the outdoors to turn pro and continue to work on his supercross skills, also leaving enough time to do plenty of testing before the Nationals start

I would guess the reason Haiden is so fast on the practice track is because he predominantly rides the same track day in and day out. They may change it from time to time but the soil is always the same and probably most of the corners.

    My 2 cents worth.

That's kind of my point though. I'm not worried about Bennick. He's shown his potential and talent and hasn't had everything handed to him. Part of me wants to see him accomplish more than Deegan for that reason. I was not impressed with the recent Youtube video of Haiden smashing and throwing things in Target and tearing up his dad's sponser handed down Ford Raptor on public streets. I'm surprised sponsors of a "professional athlete" would back that behavior, but when the general's you're father, negotiator and hand holder... Heck, Emig smoked one :rasta: and looked what happened to his pro contract. Deegan's get an exception I suppose. :burp:

I totally get what you are saying. I mean, times are a little different now. Creating "content for youtube" is such a huge thing. I agree, some of that stuff might not be a great look but I guess they are just trying to be entertaining. That's my thing w/ Deegan's approach. They want to record their life on youtube and get all these followers etc. That's great and you want to reap the rewards from that, then so be it. But there is bad that comes with that too. There is more eyes on you, more pressure, more negativity. So you can't have all the good and not the bad when you decide to go that route.

And yeah as far as Bennick, I think they knew Deegan was going to be pro at some point this year, whether it be SX or Nationals. So they want Bennick to stay in Ams all year, because I don't think they have anyone else. So they may get something done for him to turn pro for them next year. But who knows, after what they did to LeBlanc, nothing is guaranteed lol. But regardless, he will land on a team when he does do pro full-time.

Ooooof. I feel for LeBlanc, even if he wasn't riding great. Kid isn't even in the sport right now.

Also forgot to say this weekend... HOW BOUT YOUR BOY KITCHEN?!?

Ya Leblanc got spit out by that situation. I feel bad.

And ya, I was very excited for him. Hope he can just stay healthy and maybe get another win and then I really think he's going to be a beast Outdoors this summer.

Carmichael isn't the only tv announcer that sucks. Most of them do. Ralph Sheehan
use to make me want to kill myself. Even when you watch AMA Superbike those announcers
suck too. James Stewart would be a trip on TV. On his recent podcast he said Roczen needs
to take a bitch out cause no one is afraid of him.

Ricky definitely sounded more annoying when you stick him next to Daniel Blair. Maybe they don't vibe well together, idk. AC9 was hot in the booth last year. Dude can talk.

I'm probably in the minority but I actually like RC. I think he does his best work with Daniel. I actually wish that was the pairing for every SX. They seemed to mesh well, in my opinion. RC obviously is not a professional media guy but he has come a long way. Kind of reminds me of how Emig was. It's nice having a rider in the booth to give their thoughts. JS is funny. I liked him at the Outdoors. AC is good too. I don't mind RC though.

Sounds like you got to hear the Scott Russell era of commentating....dude sounded like Huckleberry Hound.... Greg White was pretty good back in the day.

Why did Emig get kicked out of the chair?

I think Emig left when the Husqvarna deal came up, but don't quote me on that.

They basically just decided they wanted RC instead of Emig. They talked about it on 1 of their pods they did together, awhile back. Nothing personal, everything was still cool between them afterwards but ya whoever decides those things wanted RC to replace Emig.
