Yes. Supposedly according to some insiders he already signed a multi-year deal with KTM. Star was apparently in the running also, but I've only heard people saying that he signed with KTM. I guess we will see, but Pingree broke the news right before the season started. Some claimed that it still hasn't happened yet though, so I'm not sure. Regardless, highly unlikely that he stays with Honda.

Star Yamaha would be a great fit for Chase. Will be interesting to see how he does on a KTM if he goes that route

Excited to see what he does next year. I will kick myself if he signs with Honda again. He just seems to be frustrated on that bike his entire time on 450 SX. MX it seems like it is a bit easier to make the bike work out well. Chase would rip on a Yamaha or KTM.
    Even a KX.

Chase rode Yamaha as an amerature before Honda signed him. Been saying it for a bit now, but he'd fit the new bike very well IMO. And I think there is opportunity to jump on board knowing Dylan and Eli are on the tail end of their careers. I feel it'd be a better bike-to-rider fit than Coop moving back to blue. But again, just my opinion... and everyone has em.

In Outdoors he found a good setting with the BFRC shock last year. Plus the bikes aren't as stiff by nature, outdoors, so it doesn't exaggerate a twitchy chassis like SX does. Oddly enough they are using the BFRC shock in SX this year now. Previously, everyone said that shock sucked for SX. But ya exactly like you said, in MX you can calm the bike down a little bit because the chassis is a little more compliant. But it's still a twitchy chassis.
I would also like him to go to Star. That would be awesome. If somehow that still ends up happening, I would be pumped. But I haven't heard anything other than the KTM supposed signing, have you? If Chase goes to KTM, Webb going to Star would also be kind of cool though, I think.

I haven't heard anything lately. Webb just seems so well fitted for the KTM that it'd be odd for him to part ways, but he's only on a 2023 contract with them. Can't remember where I heard the possible Yamaha/Webb reunion rumor, but it holds a little water.

I don't think Webb will stay at KTM. If Chase is going there, then he certainly won't. I mentioned him going back to Star a while back. Him and Bobby Reagan have a very good relationship and I wouldn't be shocked if he went there to end his career. Had Star ran the 450 program back when Cooper first jumped up, I bet he would've stayed at Yamaha.

Typically in MX you're trying to flow and in SX it's more "cut & thrust". I feel like pushing a twitchy (and I have not ridden any 450s since '16ish on SuperMoto setups) chassis upsets them faster when you force braking and acceleration into a tighter time frame.

I love triple crown races! I totally levels the playing field. As far as Sexton is concerned, he needs to breathe, mellow out and not make mistakes late in the race. It's almost funny how other riders like Craig and Wilson, you can predict exactly where the are going to finish each race.

Effing Barcia. How is he still allowed to race? I’m so happy Sexton took him out, twice.

Unpopular opinion. The Daytona 450s felt boring this year. Even Chase and Bam's run-in didn't seem like much. Track also just felt like every other Daytona race. Am I alone on this one?

I actually enjoyed the race, quite a bit of action early in the race. Am I alone in thinking Bam Bam was not the bad guy this race, seemed both times Chase pinched Bam Bam off.

You are right about the track feeling like other daytona races, probably because this year's track was the same as last year's track.

I hope Ferandis is ok. That crash he took on press day looked really bad.

I agree. The track itself was cool. It looked pretty similar to last year. But the racing wasn't as exciting as I had hoped. I bought in to Eli's struggles in qualifying and picked Chase to win. I knew better than to bet against Eli at Daytona, but he looked off and was shaking his head in furstration etc. So I thought Chase was dialed. I hate Fantasy lol.

Very pumped for Deegan's podium. He rode great. Bummed about Thrasher going down. Also, I expected JMart to be up front. I'm convinced that he is just trying to get through SX healthy because he believes he can win the 250 title Outdoors.
