2024 Supercross Thread

Barcia posted an update. Looks like a bit more than the collarbone. Couple broken ribs and busted shoulder. Collarbone surgery was done but shoulder does not require surgery, just rehab/rest, I suppose. So I guess it appears to be more than I was expecting. He didn't say when he will be racing so I assume it might not be as quickly as I had hoped. I thought if it was just a collarbone, he could have it plated and be back in a couple weeks. I've seen it happen numerous times. But I guess there is more going on there than I realized. Bummer.

 

JA21 also out the rest of SX with a neck injury he raced with at Nashville.

Yeah it definitely depends on the break. When I crashed last fall it broke in 3 places. Even getting plated I definitely was useless for a while.

 

Man the 450 class is down to about 5 factory riders.

 

So Webb also saying he is off the bike for a few weeks and will be planning on racing Nationals. This goes against what we were told before he even got hurt. So I have no idea what is going on anymore. This week has been so crazy with him and KR and the conflicting info.

 

For sure. I was just under the assumption that if he could be on the gate then he would. Because this is probably the best he has ridden in a while and he would very much be battling for podiums, maybe even wins if he continues to ride as he has been. It sure is a bummer that he may miss the start of the series though.

So Webb, Barcia, and Anderson probably won't be in MX until midsection. Oh wait we get AP back.

Sounds like Anderson might only be out a few weeks and will be ready for Outdoors.

 

Can only hope. Need to give Tomac and Sexton a run for their money.

I'd like to see Webb switch teams. It seems like KTM bike hasn't been working for him in a while and I can tell he's frustrated. Ken's been busy rescuing stray dogs and being a parent per his instagram.

 

He's for sure switching teams. I said it a while ago and I still think there is a good chance he ends up at Star Yamaha.

 

Ignorant question, but has Chase to KTM officially been confirmed or announced yet?

 

I forgot. It's gonna be good. Jett could probably hang in the top 5.

 

It’s going to be a strange/boring race. I think around half of the top 10 in standings are injured. Tomac can probably take the championship tomorrow if he finishes a couple places ahead of Sexton.

 

Not officially. Seems like it's very likely. Pingree claims done deal but I haven't seen or heard for sure. But I'm just assuming it's happening at this point. Webb is gone.
