No traction advantage and more driveline drag. Still doesn't make sense.

Why are you posting meaningless drivel in the guise of meaningful information?

it did have a higher MPH IN 2wd 88 MPH as opposed to 86 MPH in 4wd but yeah i can’t explain why it still ran slower in 2wd with no wheelspin. In theory it should go quicker..

part of me thinks you are running into the issue of how aftermarket intakes do nothing (and sometimes hinder) performance on modern vehicles.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
    Indicative!

Most of our "performance mods" just change things. Many make new noises, some make things worse.

Those engineers are not dummies, they just are forced to play by the rules.

Rather serious bracket/index drag racer here:

two tenths on a foot braked street vehicle running 16s is just noise. The entirety of it could be different staging positions. Especially a year apart, it means less than nothing.

On all my passes I just bump in to the stage beam. You can see me bumping in to stage in the video. I try to stage the same every time.

We all try to. Foot braking a slow street car is never going to be consistent.

I get it, i really do - I was a serial loud car owner baaack in the day, but nowadays no way am I installing an aftermarket part that will make my truck/car perform worse.
