That will be full tested August 2024. Should be interesting.

Personally I think the sequential model looks goofy as hell. I'd much rather a turn signal bulb than that weird looking upside down L thing.

That said, I think the 4th gen headlights are overall a downgrade from 3rd gen. That is of course with me having no experience, just a guess by looking at them and analyzing what I can from afar. They've gone down to a single projector. If it's anything like my brother's single projector Ranger LEDs were, they'll be good on low beam but not much better on high beam. I'll be curious to see an evaluation when crashnburn inevitably does one. Nice thing about separate low and high beam on the 3rd gen is that you can have both on for good near and far visibility when high beams are on. When they share the projector or bulb, there's usually some compromise in there. Guess we'll see. I imagine the fact that LEDs are all standard now is probably enough to tell us that they are less special than they were when they were only an option on 3rd gens (except standard on top of the line Pro).

More specs are out today. I can't share data like others can but if you ask here I can share it.

    Like engine compression 11:1 baby.

It has a "water proof belt tensioner" apparently. Still has a mechanical water pump. Many Toyotas have switched to electric.

I thought the same thing, but then I read it supposedly has a solid state battery. They say that new technology is safer to abuse, and doesn't have a fire or explosion risk.

The new engine is 1/3 smaller, and yet the Taco keeps the massive nose that looks longer than the standard short bed.

Miles per gallon on the hybrid truck would be great.

An I4 is half a cylinder longer than a V6

Based on terrible measurement of screenshots, I estimate the block length of the 2.4L at approximately 17.25 in, and the 3.5L at 15.50 in, so yeah, that's about right. The 3.5L has a larger bore to account for the difference.

Have that, ‘24 Tundra and the ‘23 Tacoma saved for comparisons. :)

Dang, when you realize the difference between the 23 and 24 premiums includes ventilated seats, larger display, digital rear view mirror, prewired aux switches, trailer brake controller/towing assist, power tailgate, etc., it almost makes sense that it’s a more expensive package than it used to be

Searching this .pdf and the web site are not answering my curiosity if a 2024 TRD OR will have the USB and 12V outlet in bed if you don't have the power inverter. Can anyone here verify if all models have the USB and 12V DC without the upgrade?

    Thank you.

Pretty certain you need the off road upgrade to get the bed power.

Yes, I read that, see a fair number of OR without that package but the line item for power inverter, but not seeing that you have the USB ports on other side of bed without one of those.

From the past testing I was looking right for the AC adapter.

    Thank you.
