2024 Tacoma SR5 upgrades

Just bought a 2024 Black SR5 and loving it. Didn't want to spend the extra $$$ to get into a TRD Sport but interested in some upgrades. The first upgrade would be- is there any way to get some damping on the tailgate? It drops very fast now! Next, want would be a QI charger for the phone- any way to easily add this? Thanks in advance.

 

My SR5 has a dampened tailgate. And it has a wireless charger but that is likely in a package that mine has and yours doesn't. If I didn't have that option already, I would get one of the wireless chargers that attach to a vent. I had one like that in another vehicle and it worked great. The only upgrade I did to mine after taking delivery was to install a retractable bed cover.

 

wireless chargers are easy to find on Amazon. After using a regualr tailgate for 35+ years, i dont get the need for a soft open tailgate, even though my new one came with it. Just guide it down as gently as needed with your hand.
