They made one, sort of, but not manual. I would have bought that configuration (and immediately removed the sport bar). They also made a V6 model that apparently no one wanted.

If Harry sold hot dogs at the same rate because demand was identical, he’d be a terrible business person to not expand his capacity.

So is GM terrible at expanding capacity, or is the Tacoma more in demand?

Maybe both? Tacoma is def more in demand. However, if you look at the domestics they are sharing their plants with other vehicle lines. Also I think Toyota does actually care about being the segment leader, whereas the domestics do not, Ford cares about F series not Ranger and GM cares about.... damn, I have no clue. I had a CTS-V which was a riot, so maybe they care about performance?

Edit: Side note, I could go for a Sonoran hot dog right about now.

I see 4G Tacoma's all over the place as city vehicles in CA.

I would have bought it too. Hell, I probably would have bought a PreRunner if it had a manual. When they make a ProRunner Xtra Cab, 4WD, TRD coilovers and manual... I'll be first in line. It's all parts bin stuff at this point (except drive shaft, but Dana/Spicer can crank out a bunch of whatever size it needs).

The XRunner was a SEMA concept, I believe.
