2024 Toyota Tacoma on the Dyno VS 3rd gen Tacoma on the Dyno

    This chart is from a chassis dyno. They're not accurate at low RPMs so the pulls usually start at around 2500 or so. The data at the initial hit (2600ish in this case) isn't accurate. You can see how quickly it goes up from there.

    To get an accurate measurement at low RPM you need an engine dyno. I doubt you'll see an independent engine dyno run because it requires the engine to be removed from the car. So we have to take Toyotas word that the engine makes peak tq at 1700 RPM. There's no reason to doubt the numbers as its normal for turbo motors to make great low end tq and Toyota follows the SAE method to rate their engines. The initial reviews support that also.
