[2024] What’s the deal with a donor vin when upgrading entune 2.0 to 3.0?

    I’ve just got the Entune Premium Head Unit from 2021 taco, and waiting on the harness. I tried to get the donor vin from the eBay seller but they don’t have it.

    I’ve in read in older forums that it’s needed to activate the built in apps on 3.0.

    but I also started seeing in forums around November 2023 that the new Toyota app doesn’t let you add a donor vin, does that mean anyone doing this swap after November can’t use the built in apps? Or what’s the deal/solution?

    Haven’t been able to find any updated info
