This is Barrett Lake trail. Spent the last two days there. Great rock crawling and an awesome Lake to camp. I had to use my winch twice and stack some rocks here and there. This run has a gatekeeper and it is no joke! Big boulders and this tree that is so hard to avoid. I had to use my high lift to stack rocks under my tires and to pull my ass over so it didn't hit the tree. Good times!

Great Rubicon trip this past weekend with @Impoy47 in his badass 3rd gen! @ssd_dan road shotgun with me because his truck had issues getting into the Gatekeeper.
It was @Impoy47 first time on the trail but his truck just ate it up. He's on portals with 37's and the ground clearance that truck has is huge!
There are a lot of lines that I take that are specifically designed so I don't get hung up on my frame, sliders and undercarriage but often he didn't need any advise where to go cuz he just drives right over shit. We drove to Buck Island in one day and camped there and then drove back out the next day.
I'm also pretty sure that @Impoy47 is the first one to ride an electric unicycle on the Rubicon

Thanks @UMC for the praise, but I wouldn't have been able to get through that hell hole without your expertise guide and great spotting on those sketchy areas. You must have eyes behind your head coz' you knew when I would needed a spot. Haha...
I only sustained very minimal body damage which I didn't recognized until I got home. I had a couple mechanical issues which we repaired along the trail, which were odd ones'. One was a lower control driver side rear alignment bolt. It was finger tight loose and luckily we were near camp and where able troubleshoot and fixed. I do have fixed cam tabs but didn't have it on that rear side. At that time I couldn't get the fixed cam bolt to fit in that rear. I'm sure it'll fit now. Haha... 2nd: I got hung up on this area when I got off my line, I managed to get up a hard line when I should have waited for @UMC to spot me.. I then sustained a weird sounding noise by the drive shaft where it connects the rear diff. We couldn't figure it out until we sprayed WD-40 and fixed the problem for the time being (pinion seal?).. I was thinking it would comeback but never did and drove home with better MPG.o_O .... I concluded that if I had the bamf rear diff cover that protects all the way to the U joint I wouldn't have bashed my drive shaft and U joint.... bamf Ordered..

Overall it was an epic weekend and would be coming back better and stronger.( Marlin's Taco box) .. Thanks to @UMC and @ssd_dan for an unforgettable trip..

Really wish I hadn't gotten sick so I could've made it out there. Still dealing with this shit a week and a half later.

Quik trip to the Rubicon today. Started off with little rain and then it dried up. No one at the trailhead until I came across a couple of guys in a Ford Ranger that were by themselves. They followed me for a while and then I turned around. Started at Loon lake, went to Ellis Creek, then then out Wentworth springs.

I was on my way up a snow covered trail once and got the xfr case hung up on a rock. Was able to jack the truck up and stack rocks and luckily, that worked. Not so sure how you're gonna stack for that :)

@UMC, did you pass this guy when you were out there with @Ricardo13x and @lit_taco4x4?

Spoiler alert: Guy with a lot of money to burn and a camera, but apparently minimal experience actually wheeling, decides to take on the Rubicon solo in a full-size pickup. It does not go well.

He must have been there a few days after you, because it looks like this was when that Cybertruck was stuck somewhere between Rubicon Springs and Cadillac Hill.
