I ordered a hat from JRM's website and it is expected to arrive in at the end of May. Drives me crazy now. Like if you order something for a one off event and it shows up months after it happened. I get why, they do not want to have inventory laying around that is not sold and this way they can pre-order and have the sales before they even place the order but come on.

Did you all see the rule changes on the damaged vehicle policy? Now if you need to get towed it is back to the garage and anyone can come back into the race after repairs. They still have the 7 min deal on pit road but after that you can go to the garage and still come back out on track. Overall good things.

Supply Chain must be caught up. I thought they parked them because they didn’t have enough parts to fix and run around out back.

Contact down in Daytona at the track reports it was a Golf Cart that caught on fire that was in the Goodyear building adjacent to the Sunoco Station in the Yellow Garage. Not any severe damage. Yellow garage is the garage Cup series uses.
I'll be down there on Feb. 6th

Growing up we went to the Rock every year. AWESOME track! Glad to see it making a comeback. Hopefully they replaced the damn concrete front stretch seating too. Come to the Rock, set on a rock. They probably made millions on the seat cushions sold at the track. That weekend was always a super chill vibe. The track is out in the middle of nowhere. Cars were on track from Early Friday through the cup race on Sunday. Getting out of there after the race was hell but a great event.

At this point he kind of has to pay whatever they bring. I think he has the first of every gen Corvette in his collection along with every color and configuration is most year models. Most of the time it is a deal with Chevy that it goes to him but every once in a while one is put up for charitable reasons and brings a huge number that they just write off as a charitable donation. Rick has the most complete Corvette collection in the world. Probably one of the best American car collections if not the best and a pretty solid guitar collection also.

I believe they cited "safety" more than anything. They specifically said you couldn't do basically what Kyle Busch's team did in 2007 when Dale Jr first logged laps for Hendrick Motorsports. Glad to see them back tracking a bit. Never cared for the damaged vehicle policy. Now if they could just address cars not being able to move on flat tires, we'd be getting somewhere.

Now the rule is that if you have to be towed for flats then you go directly to the garage but once there you can put new tires on and rejoin the race.
I wish they would make it where the cars would actually move if they had flats and if you get towed back then you are out but they want to race this glorified IMSA car so who the fuck knows. It’s about the ugliest race care ever produced.

I just had a moment of reflection. I was watching NASCAR back in 2007 and don’t remember that… like at all. I did drink a lot of beer back then and rode dirt bikes on Sundays probably wasn’t paying attention:anonymous:
