LOL, the 77 has a lot more speed than the 48. If I am Carson, I just stay put. I would rather see KB get that ride for his last couple of seasons. Kind of full circle kind of deal if he could return to HMS. Plus it would be good for the drivers that HMS has. Now that KB has mellowed and been humbled from driving dump trucks.
Bowman has had ample time to be in that equipment but is not consistent. Plus the dude is just bland AF. Nice guy, I think most do not dislike him but who in the hell is going to be like. Yeah, that's my guy. Let me buy some merch. Not many.

Has something been said about the 48? Jeff just said a month or two ago they had no plans on replacing Alex.

Alex has been in the hot seat since before he even got in an HMS car. Jeff is not going to come out and say anything until a deal is done. Who knows, it is all just speculation but Alex does not really fit the HMS model. If you suck you have to at least sell merch. Alley is GMAC so they have been with HMS for decades so they are not going anywhere. I think they know that at some point Chase might just say fuck it and Larson could go in any direction. Willie B is solid and will be around for a long time but when someone who shows raw talent pops up. That is the future and at this point Carson is KB 2.0 at this stage in his career.
You know at some level Rick regrets letting KB go but he had to do that if he wanted JR. I mean JR brought the money but you know KB brought the performance and wins. Rick let him go just as he was about done tearing up cars and really breaking through. I think HMS sees a lot of that in Carson. I think it is hard to find drivers who can really get everything out of this car also. This car does not fit well with a lot of stock car drivers and Carson is showing that he is comfortable in this car and can perform in it.

I would like to see them move Raj out of the Truck to the Xfinity Series and get some seat time and see how he does and maybe get him into the 48. I know that will take a little time.

Why? Seems like an okay kid. Hasn't done anything spectacular in the more than 2 seasons he has had in trucks. His wins are on strategy. Raj will never make it to cup unless Bubba retires. HMS sees that ride for him in trucks as charity not a future.

I hope he does. I like him. Seems like a really good dude. It just feels like he is not taken serious.

I don't think the Whole Truck Series is taken very serious.

LOL, true. I suspect Cletus is going to be in the Ram that is all over the internet next season and that will bring a lot of exposure to the series. I hate the booth, they need to start with changing that. And they need some better teams. KBM and KHR was really good for that series. They need a couple of cup drivers to reinvest in it.

Yeah, they claim the trucks drive a lot more like cup than Xfinity does.

The lower series does very little to prepare these drivers for cup now. The equipment is just way to different. Solid axles to independent suspension. Completely different shifting pattern. Areo is all under the body in cup. No sidewall in the cup car. It's like going from a Cessna to a spaceship.

Kind of hard to see in the picture. Neat seeing the old school shape and skue of the trucks. Passenger side is damn near concave with the tail gate area kicked out for Aero.
Several trucks are having to massage the rear quarter to pass tech. this morning.

Why was the truck race so Freaking Early today? I already have the DVR set to record Lime Rock next week. I spent A Lot of Summers at that track.
