Im getting $3250 off a $43k sr5 upgrade, allocated, & reserved for me...
I can get $4600 off Trd sports or sr5's right now from multiple dealers, for instock units.
Nothing instock works for me at the moment, various almost a dozen west coast dealers...

yup, that's what happened for me too. and i don't think i even was looking for anything too crazy - just a sport 4x4 premium short bed in underground, and i was willing to be flexible on all other options. there were only 2 matching allocations in a 100 mile radius at the time.

I have a sr5 white upgrade 2wd locked in for the 23rd of this month eta...
Theres a few trds sport 2wd upgrades also coming in about 10-15 days afterwards...
Contemplating, but just cant decide, the hood, the wheels....
Yeah, hood looks tough / aggressive I guess, but not sure if ill regret...
I always hated the previous gen trd sports, scoop looks dumb....
Thats damn hood sure does move alot driving down the road with added weight from scoop...

I dont buy vehicles like I change my underwear, so that makes things tougher...
As long as its a good solid platform, I keep stuff forever...

You offer good points. I must agree. Sometimes though, I guess we all just need to vent a little. I am very much a Toyota loyalist and it sometimes becomes very frustrating to be able to afford and secure exactly what you want. I'll just keep on saving and hope it will work out in the end and be worth the wait.

Early stages, dealer spoke of MSRP. I think that will need to be addressed.

Probably depends on what geo and the stock levels. Paying MSRP is crazy.

When talking to salespeople, don't use the term "MSRP." Instead, use "Toyota's suggested price." Emphasize suggested.

Just curious as to why. The 'M' in "MSRP" is "manufacturer." The 'M' is Toyota. Are you suggesting the emphasis that it's the price Toyota suggests you pay as opposed to the price you will negotiate? Or maybe that "SRP" is the nomenclature they're using now and that maybe they're allergic to the traditional term because it's not their marketing wank du jour?

Yes. Deflect the figure to Toyota, away from the dealer, and call it what it is: their suggested price.

Good point. Still it is a Pro sitting on a dealer lot as of right now unsold.

I fully expect to be tarred & feathered for this, but I find the Pro awkward as hell. I’d be embarrassed driving one- it’s just so completely over-styled inside and out that it feels like a caricature.

Give me a TRD OR any day of the week…but with $3K off sticker…

lol i just had the same screenshot ready to post - you can get $1000 off literally any new toyota if you meet the criteria for the conditional offers.

there aren't many folks out there who are military AND in college AND can afford a TRD Pro.

Local dealer is $3500 off just with their online price. 5K off sticker and you are in the ballpark of what its actually worth.

Always bargain for out the door (OTD) price. Meaning they can’t add anything on the financing, cause everything is exclusively included in OTD.

some and more and more and more and
Agreed, hope they make those seats optional in 25. The PRO is purpose build........ But I wouldn't use it for that purpose.

I am due to replace my company Chevy Colorado and I was asked what I wanted so I said a SR5 Tacoma. So they ordered a 2025 Tacoma in ice cap. I am guessing it will be next year till it comes in since the 2025 build option is not available yet on the website. I can’t wait to try the drivetrain as I have two 4Runners and that one may need replacing in the coming years and I can’t wait test the new engine and transmission for a multi year test drive.
