    It's really just a bunch of trial and error. I wish I would have had someone looking over my shoulder, telling me what I was doing wrong. Would have sped up the process and made some of the welds end up nicer. But oh well, I'm happy with it.

    I've seen the RTT racks made with hinges on one side with struts on the other... thought about doing that... then I realized that would be getting in WAY over my head. lol

    Nice! I’m looking at going hardtop RTT soon. Only disadvantage I’ve found with the RTT is if you want to use your truck you’ve got to pack it up. Not a huge deal as it’s pretty easy, just something to get used to. Way better then a ground tent though which I only use when I’m backpacking now :)
