@foxrcing07 actually - I think they are tracking our phone. A lot of these social media platforms are able to connect with people around them who are also using the same app. I know Venmo, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc all have that feature. So maybe they saw that we were all at the mod day for like 10 hours and were like "oh maybe they know each other"

I don't keep the facebook app on my phone after getting ads for things my brother and I were talking about at dinner. They swear their not listening, but I don't trust them.

I don't have anything important enough going on for me to worry if they are listening or not, they might get pretty bored with most of my conversations

Once I talked about a random baseball trivia point and my friend’s wife’s phone suggested a book about it on her FB 15 mins later. They lie when they claim they aren’t listening

Not to be that guy, ok I’ll be that guy. I understand the why for bed stiffeners but I’m just wondering if things need to flex. I know they have been around for years but could keeping that area from flexing cause future issues?

This issue is with having a roof top tent on bed bars for me, I just need to get this trailer I have going so I can move the tent to the trailer instead of on my bed. Or get a drifter and get rid of tent. :D

It is All Pro but TG owns them now so they have them which is where these armor came from. You deal with TG for All Pro stuff.

Some more progress. Fitting the front was more work than I thought. Seems like the Tacoma had a small bumper accident in its history. Nothing major but I guess it made the reinforcement bar bracket off by a couple centimeters. Had to make some of the mounting holes on Apex bumper bigger. Die grinder with the carbide burr bit worked like a charm. Everything lined up great after that. Mounting the IFS skid plate was the most work. It wasn’t as straight forward as you would think and also it is not diff drop friendly. I talked to someone else who had the same setup as mine, same year and model Tacoma too that had the same problem with the skid plate. Had to use spacers and washers for the back two bolts. I had to make the mounting holes for the back two bolts larger too so it would line up properly. I’ll post pictures of those snags later. Tried to do the Trans plate as well but it looks like I’m going to run into the same issue because the back of the skid plate hangs a little lower for the diff drop. So I just left it off for another day. Took awhile because most of the wrenching was done by me. Didn’t have constant help but an extra set of hands is very recommended. If not than a hydraulic lift and jack stands are your best friend.

On a side note. Does anyone know why my Tacoma is about a half inch lower on the front and back of the driver side compare to my passenger side?

Not sure. Someone else mention it is the Taco lean that I am having. I’m going to do some research on it and see what I can come up with.

Alright guys. Started my rear suspension install at around 3pm-4pm and finished around 10pm. That was a good experience for first time. I may have accidentally put tension on my parking brake line  ... but all in all the install went well.

Learned a technique for the rear springs so next mod day, I am definitely available to help.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    That bumper looks bad ass!

The driver lean is probably Taco lean. I don't know if the Dakar leaf springs are side specific. Ask @foxrcing07 or @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc if there is a specific side the leafs should be installed, they may have been put on the wrong sides. You have the trim packer up front, and it's on the correct (drivers) side. That is supposed to compensate some of the Taco lean but if the leafs are side specific, and not on the right side, that could be enough to cause the problem to be visible front and back.
