    She ain't stock anymore.
Next weekend, I'm going to go do some exploring around Eagle Meadows and Relief Reservoir, if anyone is interested. Haven't settled on a day yet, both are equally open.

Plans came up for Sunday night so Saturday will have to be the day.

    Oh, i could tell lol

Did see a dude with a train of 5+ horses hauling his game back to camp. Kennedy Meadows was packed (probably since it was the first open place after the closed fire areas). Still caught out limit of fish both times we stopped there which was surprising this late in the season and with how many people were out there.

Twin lakes was... Well, we need a boat for that place lol

Wired up the ham to have constant power, instead of using the cigarette lighter plug. This should be much better and I won’t have to deal with my radio turn off when the truck turns off anymore.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I think the whole only having power at the lighter and power port when the truck is running is hands down, THE most irritating thing about my truck.

I will soon be fixing that.

How did you wire it? And for your power, converting 12v down to 5v?

So I sent an email to Jerry to see if I could add fill plates to my slider order, which he said would be no problem. But he then said that he has a HREW set @ 10 degrees in stock if I was interested. My original order was DOM at 20 degrees. What do you guys think?

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
Depends on how strong you want your sliders to be...I hear people with hrew not having any issues even while wheeling hard. Up to you if you wanna wait a few more weeks.

10 degrees makes it more useable as a step. I say do it.

I would wait for what you want, not what is available. I went with 20 degrees and am glad I did.

Edit. Your a long bed, keep them tucked up tight. Even at 20 degress I still bounced off of stuff at Corral Hollow.

That’s truth right there. From my experience I would usually regret settling for an item that isn’t exactly what I wanted (even if the price is right). You paid this much money and already have waited this long.

I have built and ran exo cages, sliders, and bumpers all out of hrew. Havent had any issues with failures. They do flex but you will not notice it unless you have your whole truck suspended from the sliders. Welded joints will always be the weak points anyways.

I have even built/ran sched 40 pipe bumpers and sliders with good luck. Any tube work on my trucks are considered consumables.

Here is a pic of my crawler resting on sched 40 pipe sliders and no damage. Hrew is stronger.

And another with both front and rear driver's sides at almost full extension with a poop pipe slider on a sharp breakover rock.
