So, here's an update of the "List." Gives an idea of how far off we are from the 4x conversion. I'm trying to get all the "small stuff" ordered and on the way so come bonus time I just have to (mainly) worry about what I'm going to do about the Transmission/T-case and possibly a locker or limited slip for the front.

Just got back last night after 6 days in Death Valley, definitely need a lift and 33’s. I am going photo dump in this post cuz I’m still flying high after an epic trip.

I got up the waterfalls on Funeral Canyons, which is about a 6-7 foot narrow climb and down Deckdera canyon steps, drifted gravel roads at 55mph, camped with a great group of guys, and saw some amazing sights

Got my mid skid mistake that I got from @JLee bent the right way last night with a little help from a friend and his 300 ton press. It's not perfect but it'll work.

    IMG_1165.jpg

He didn't have a die that would fit between the supports so we had to use a smaller one and then bent the corners with a torch and a giant crescent wrench and then just hammered it straight.

I have no stuff and no plan. I've been dabbling with the idea of getting a 3D printer for a bit now. If I do that I can just print me a mount.

I don't know how many of you are following the Norcal spotted and BS thread. But its really kind of weighing on my mind. The Camp Fire, in Paradise, has directly affected members of TW NorCal. Whitebutler has lost his house (and his Taco) Drtgrl's brother has lost his house as well. And judging from the reports on Paradise, there are many people that were affected as well. Paradise is pretty much gone.

I can't shake the helpless feeling of "what in the heck can I do to help these people?" I honestly don't know the answer to that question.

I just wanted to throw it out to our local group. Does anyone have an idea of what can be done to help? Does anyone have experience with the timeline, involved in something like this, that can shed light on when help would even be possible? Anyone else up for trying to get involved with an effort to do something?

I can offer my time and/or some cash. Maybe we could go in and pay for some meals, clothes, or some stuff for the kids. I know there are a few internet fundraising sites like gofundme.com, but I'm not really familiar with them outside the fact that they exist, and I'm not sure of what TW's policy is regarding fundraising.

You’re awesome Matt. Honestly, I don’t know what can be done at this point either. As far as my brother, he’s in as good of spirits as can be expected it’s quite inspiring actually. Just got word that he had to abandon his vehicle and walk 4 miles to his in-laws (in Chico). He’s on a walk right now checking on the fire line. Last night authorities were talking about evacuating the part of Chico he is in now. If it comes to that he and his family will stay with me or one of my brothers and sisters. Unfortunately my boyfriend’s aunt lost her house to the butte fire in 2015 so we have a little experience with this. It’s a timely process that isn’t going to be solved overnight. It sounds like they left with the clothes on their back and that is all. When things calm down a bit and I get a chance to talk to my brother more I will see what we can do to help them out.

The ones that are awesome are your brother and John (Whitebutler). To have any kind of positive attitude in a time where you have lost everything is really nothing short of amazing.

Please, let us know if there is anything we can do to help. I know, right now, it's probably just total chaos, and it would probably be hard to giveany idea of how to help.

I am thinking they may need clothes, basic items like toiletries etc. What about the kids? Does your brother have small childeren? Diapers? How bout John, I wonder about what ages his kids are.
