209 TACOS - B/S and shenanigans

@foxrcing07 what are you doin this evening (or this weekend)? Do you have time for me to look at the bumper on your 1st gen?

A) I need to figure out how this thing goes together.
B) I need to weld tabs for my Halogens and I don't want to put them where they will be in the way for a winch.

Last week I asked if anyone knew a place to get an engine steam cleaned.

Top and bottom engine steam clean = $90 (which is going to be money well spent in my opinion)

 

@foxrcing07 I made an appointment to have my motor steamed cleaned at 9:00 AM tomorrow morning. The guy said it'll probably take a couple hours.

I'm trying to get everything cleaned up in there so I can do my Valve Covers. If you want to do the spindles early, we could do them while my truck is getting cleaned, or I'm sure we can figure something out.

They are almost done with mine and had to move the Y back as well.

And now I'm holding @foxrcing07 hostage waiting for my dumbass to get over to there for him to press my bearings. My buddy that picked me up from the detailer flaked and had to go do something else, so he had to drop me back at my house.

Well shit... If you want to come by and pick me up, by the time we get back over to the detailer it should be done. (That'll help my Mom out too, she was going to take me back over when they call.)

All the stuff to do the spindles is in my truck already. We can go straight to Morgan's from picking up the truck.

Here's what we started with. Welded some plates in to provide mounting locations for the turn signals. Son knocked all the rust and loose paint off. Drilled and tapped holes for the mounting bolts for the bases of the Halogens. Son started painting the mounting base with some Por15 Main bumper is getting Gunmetal Gray acrylic epoxy.

 

I really like the color!
