209 TACOS - B/S and shenanigans

Took advantage of the sun being out for a bit and painted the trailer. Got both sides done. Ran out of paint and sun so wasnt able to do the roof yet. The dents definitely show more with the black paint but it's a camp trailer. It will be fine lol. Rear and sides ~90% complete. Got decent coverage with the 3 cans I had. Figure about 6 more cans needed. 1 more per side and rear. And then 3 for roof

 

That camper is gonna heat up like a oven in sun light. Just keep that in mind.

 

@Uphillshunter what welding electrode do you use when welding? I want to start practicing.

 

Still wanna do that CMC?

 

I've been using my buddy's flux core welder so my options are pretty much limited to one choice.

 

6013 is a good all purpose electrode. Real stable, decent looking welds for stick as well. Good one to start with.

I've just about mastered the art of chaining up on a hill of ice over here on N. Tuolumne. Power out most the week. Stay safe this weekend!

 

So 4x4 and chains? How much snow is on the ground up there?

 

I got 14-16 inches this past storm. I'm on a big hill and it was fine without chains until 2 days after when it all froze up. Snow seems light so far but who knows if it dumps over the next 48 hours.

7018 is a great filler rod. If doing pipe 6010, but it's a hot stick and will blow thru material. 6013 will make you look good for testing the waters.thats the first stick they had us use in class.

It is looking like the moons may be aligning for some 4x4 converting shit to happen.
