209 TACOS - B/S and shenanigans

Mileage... I don't know. Never calculated it, but if I have to guess, I would say around 12 or 13. It's not my daily driver so never cared.

I am not sure what your comfort zone is when it comes to RPMs. With 33's and 5.29's I am guessing your RPMs would be at least 200 higher than me. So, I am guessing you will be around 2600-2700 rpm at 75 MPH. Keep in mind I didn't plug these numbers in any calculator so double check.

3rd gen trucks have 2 over drive gears (5th and 6th) and the final drive ratio is 0.69 and 0.58 which really helps keeping the RPM's low on freeway.

In my opinion, 33's and 5.29 should be fine, because our trucks are heavy as hell and feel very sluggish.

I'm in a 2nd gen MT with 33's and I rock 4.88 gears. Super low 4lo and highish rpms on highway ~3'400 at 80 mph but I don't mind that so much. I carry a lot of weight all the time and it's nice to be able to accelerate easily.

I average 12 mpg in CA and 16 in OR and WA.

2nd the ECGS, but I would recommend buying the fully assembled 3rds from them and doing the swap yourself. I had no experience and was able to do both front and rear in about 7-8 hrs with help from someone that can't even change his own oil.

I had some issues with the rear a couple months after the swap but ECGS replaced everything and covered shipping at no cost to me.

Yup. Nav stopped working once cached memory ran out. No clock(updates via GPS), no nav and no satellite radio.

However, I have a friend running through several different 3D printouts for a smooth cap to replace the shark fin. Then I can get everything back. I think he will be offering them for sale soon as well.
