I used paint pen.

 

I used the Trail Toys edging.

...after using touch-up paint on the edge.

 

Paint the edge then use some rubber door trim from auto zone or orileys or Amazon

 

Any opinions on Tepui Awnings? REI has the 6x6 one for $256 with the 20% coupon.

 

My friend has one and likes it. To me awnings are one of those things some people use all the time or never. Because it’s attached to the car, and if not a 270 degree model, then it provides just a little bit of shade. And as the sun keeps moving it only works for a little bit if it’s a square shape. Most aren’t going to move their cars to re-adjust the shade. Since you are getting the camper I’d look into a 270 wrap around if it works for your camper model

 

I really like the Alu-Cab ones but they are so expensive. Also @Anderson brought up some good points at basecamp about the 270 awnings in that you can't really slope them or set them up differently than open or closed. Anyway, I think I've talked myself out of it for the time being. Still need to get that radio, and lights, and a locker, and a winch, and a snorkel, and a supercharger, LCA, fuel tank, and diff skids, and a swingout HC bumper, and...

That probably depends a lot on which truck it goes on.

 

Remember an awning is not always about staying out of the sun. The first time I used my awning was during rain not sunny skies. every where I go camping I have plenty of shade from the trees.
I'm sure Cameron, @rob1208, and @eRock_runner appreciated my awning during the death valley trip last December when it was raining. One of the things I keep thinking about is the room option that I can attach to my awning as well.

The 270 models are very nice but I can't use one with my setup. I would need it mounted to a shell for it to work properly. hmmmmm

 

I've been slacking, now that the house is in escrow I can start working on it (I need to make a cardboard template to make the most out of the available space)
I did pull the panel I have out the other night to start tracing it so i'll work on it this week

Now that I'm not daily driving mine, I suppose it could change a few things, but I just can't see most of it.
I'm not going to trailer it, and I still drive like an asshole, so I can't see taking the swaybar off.
I don't really feel like it's lacking power, so I don't realistically see going SC.
She is cheap frugal, so I don't see her wanting to go SC either.
I was pretty decided on a set of 5 ST Maxx A/Ts, but now I may consider the STT PRO M/T - although snow runs may keep me with the Maxx.

 

So... I'm stuck in Lathrop.

Old worn out ignition key wont turn in the ignition, to start the truck...
