    Yes, we'll be going up 108. We'll be hitting the backroads near Longbarn.

    What did you think about the ARB Simpson, Theres a brand new one for sale in my area for 1k with annex and I am hoping to get some feedback from an experienced user.
    This would be my first RTT. Is there good visibility out the windows/are there ceiling windows? Any feedback would be appreciated!

    Great tent, would highly recommend. Mine doesn't have the moon roof, but visibility out of the windows is good. When using an annex I would recommend mounting the tent high enough so that you can walk underneath of it when opened. Unless you don't mind crouching down... and when mounted below cab height you will have some extra material from the annex. Still usable, just a little sloppy. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

    Hey great to know. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to weigh my options. Theres a used Frontrunner Featherlite RTT with bed rack for 1700 locally or a brand new ARB simpson 3 for 1,000 but i'd have to source the rack so trying to decide which route to go.

    I've been watching adventure bike videos all day. The problem is that I've never ridden a motorcycle and have no clue, but I did find out that MJC has classes that count toward the skills part of the license test, and you use their bikes.

    Up the hill?

    Jamestown would be pretty good.

    Otherwise the Raleys in Oakdale would be good I think. Right at the end of town and could stock up with food/drink.

    Raley's in Oakdale sounds good to me.

    @Papadave418 ?
    @Hookgrip ?
    @Blue Canary ?

    So far, I think this is everyone committed to the trip.

    Who else is looking to convoy with us?

    It all looks amazing. I used to ride an 1100 V Star, so much fun. Easy to die though on the highway, but adventure riding looks fun

    I had a free day so I picked up my mom, who’s 80, this morning in Fresno and took her up to the snow line at Bald Mountain. I was hoping to make it to the top but going solo I didn’t want to tackle a long stretch of a narrow snow covered trail. So we set up a picnic and she told me some great stories about my dad and her first meeting while traveling in Europe. He died in ‘99 so it was fun to hear, and she’s never been off road ever. She grabbed every handle in sight on the off camber obstacles! :rofl:

    But she was a trooper and had so much fun
