Realistically tho... even if I could get this day off, way too much to do for daughter's wedding prep. Looks like I'm not going to be able to make any trips (or mod days) till after the 16th of March.

Any of you ever get up 140 towards Catheys Valley or Mariposa?

We lost our home to Detwiler back in 2017... Ive been back once about the 1 year mark. But not since... Wondering if anyone has (or is willing to take) phots of the area. Id like to see how well/poorly its recovered. We still own the land and Ive tossed around the idea of rebuilding but still not sure about it...

 

@Pella and I were just talking about going up to that area last night. It'll be a minute before I can get up there, but if/when we go I'll post up some pics. I don't know that area quite as well as SNF but we were talking about exploring around in that area.

Ive been tracking it on google street view, but theyve not been in the area since 2018...

Roughly here is the house site as it would be viewed from that turnout.

 

Ok... So we gotta start plannin some shit for this year. If I can't get out and do shit (yet) I at least want to start thinking about when I CAN do shit.

Slick Rock and the Rubicon are definitely on my list for this years. With the amount of stuff happening to the 4Runner before April, I think it's definitely doable.

 

I'm trying to do the Rubicon the week of 6/6-6/14. Not sure the exact dates yet but 2 or 3 nights that week sometime.

 

I'm wanting to do both... But I'm not sure I'll be equipped to attempt Rubicon this year.

 

I want to get out and do a few trails before I commit to a Rubi trip. I want to do it... just not sure the truck is equipped for it.

 

Definitely let me know as soon as you have specifics on what we were talking about the other day. We'll schedule up a mod day and a bunch of us degenerates will help you knock it out.
