Took the Taco up to Hunters Valley Mountain today. Checked out the fire damage (this is the Detwiler Fire area). Pretty devistated... but hopefully it will recover soon... the brush is a lot thinner in a lot of areas.

Spent a couple hours shooting, dialing in the hunting rifles.

I was up there 2 weeks ago. It’s hard to imagine what it used to look like.

Ya, it's pretty wrecked... especially on the west face of the slope. But if you go back about 3/4 of the way back to the end of the road, it looks like there was never a fire.

Calfire really improved the road, while they were in there, though.

@Uphillshunter Thanks for the recommendation on the rear end shop. Just picked up the third with the locker installed and it was cheaper then I expected.

The shop is named "The Rear End Shop" it's in Riverbank.

They've been around a LOT of years and have always had a good reputation.

Now, just need to get it installed and the compressor hooked up and finally be locked in the rear. I've been waiting a long time to finally have a locker. :bananadance:

The dude in the big brown truck stopped by yesterday.

This thing looks NICE! Really good workmanship. Can't wait to get it in the truck.

Waiting on the rest of the parts for the timing belt/waterpump replace to install it though.

Made a little progress on the Roof top tent rack tonight.

    Just mocked up for now.

Don't actually even know how to weld... but fook it. Borrowed a cheapo welder from a buddy. Probably gunna dive in this weekend.

    Hopfully I don't :bananadead:

Well... last night, I got everything prepped and ready to weld for today.

And then there was a change in plans.

My buddy busted a tooth of his ring gear. Pulled the entire rear end today. Already putting the new (to him) rear end back in.

I love being that guy everyone calls when their shit is broke. lol
