    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Ok... that makes sense. That way you could slide attachment points forward and back.

I'd just need to look at someone's Prinsu to find what diameter end mill bit I'd need to make those slots. As I mentioned earlier, a jig to keep those slots straight would be fairly easy to make.

the only other group I know that’s attempting something spitting image is a company called outbound Nevada on IG. Their price point was around 700 but they’ve been teasing for months now

I like their radius in the back of their rack.

But having a 1 piece design, that fans lower to the point, like this, is sooo much cutting and so much wasted material.

Do the extruded cross bars bolt therough thos slots? Making it so the cross bars are abjustable (slide front/back)?

not sure about their racks...from my understanding they are still doing testing but that actually makes sense if so. Does Prinsu have specific areas where the crossbars must go?

I saw his rack once, after he installed it. Didn't get a close look though.

I’d be interested if you can cut the side rails for me. Been wanting to make one for my 2nd gen but accommodate the drifter. Just don’t have the tools / patience to cut it myself. Then i figured i could just use some cut pieces of angle iron to bolt it to the roof.

Hoping @siznarf will see this and can give me the measurement of the height of the side rails.

    This measurement.

    Screenshot_20201011-110753_Chrome.jpg

And the thickness of the side rails. I'm thinking they are either 3/16 or maybe 1/4.

@foxrcing07 if you have a chance, I'd also like to compare those measurements to Prinsu. In pictures, it looks like Sherpa uses a wider (taller) side rail than Prinsu does.

For 1st Gen Tacoma, I'm thinking rivnuts to put the feet in/on this track in the roof line. I'm thinking this is probably the strongest part of the roof.

    20201011_113201.jpg

3rd Gen 4 Runner can mount like the Sherpa rack. Where it mounts to the original rack mounting locations in the back 2 3rds of the rack. The front feet just sit on the roof in the track (similar to pictured above) on the 4 Runner roof. (meaning the front mounts on the Sherpa don't hold the rack down, they just privide support for the load pushing down)
