I’m half kidding. Nobody wants to work on my wife’s car including me.

I’ll probably do it at my Dads house. It’s nice using all the tools and knowledge he accumulated over the 30yrs he owned an auto repair shop. :D

You staying in a hotel? The campground is a joke at $20 a night. Red Rocks has some damn fun climbing though. There's some wheeling in the area as well.

Stayed off Lovell Canyon Rd., all BLM.
Didn’t take the 4Runner but saw a decent group of Toyota’s heading headed in when we were packing up this morning. Also saw a ton of sxs.
Beautiful area, tons and tons and tons of climbing and other outdoor activities. I’ll definitely be back.

Lovell Canyon is a long as drive to get into the park. If your climbing in Oak Creek or Black Velvet it's not as bad. If I'm going for a week I just stay at The Palace Station Hotel. It's cheap and it's 20 minutes from the entrance to the loop road. I'm also older and after living out of my van for 6 years climbing all the time hot running water on demand is worth a $150 bucks. lol

I've spent well over a year of climbing days at Red Rock. You'd be hard pressed to ask me about a climb I haven't done there. I might be headed there for the week of Thanksgiving. Wife is still deciding what she wants to do.

Yeah, it was a bit of a hike to and from but I wasn’t driving so I didn’t care too much. We climbed Friday and Saturday, at Black Corridor and Wake Up Wall.
If I were to do it again, I’d be staying in a hotel. Makes everything easier and a shower would be nice right now.

    Thanks @nDub,

If you are a member of Harvest Hosts then you can stay for 1 night with the expectation that you will patronize the host business.

I think it is $79 per year for Harvest Hosts.

Nice. I wasn’t aware that was a thing.

Definitely a cool facility. I haven’t been able to get into their ciders as they come across as really sweet to me. Brandy is pretty good though.

Did they let you look at their German stills ?

I’m not a huge fan of their ciders for the same reason, but they have one in 750ml bottles called barnyard dry that was actually on the dry side. My mom likes the sweet ones so I bought her a 6-pack. Good spot to park the trailer and then do some recon on the forest service road conditions. Stock truck handled the slightly snowy roads with no hint of concern in 4HI.

All the tours were closed, but I did get to taste the brandy. I found it a bit bland to be honest. I was expecting more character from the apples and the 5 years in JD barrels.
