I was up at Kennedy meadows backpacking into Kennedy lake the last two days. Here's a couple of shots to show the smoke conditions.

    Kennedy lake Thursday late afternoon...
    DSC01728.jpg
Below Relief Res. Friday 11:30 AM the golden glow is from the sun being filtered buy the smokle…

    DSC01746.jpg

The smoke was a nuisance and you could smell it off and on. it definitely messed with the views but it didn't ruin the trip.. Of course, a small change in wind direction can change everything.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I want to say a sincere thank you to @FirstTimeFirstGen for coming through earlier (I guess it would be yesterday now) with the shocks.

And also a huge thank you to @foxrcing07 and @CalTacoma09... they just left my house after midnight helping me wrench on my truck. I'll make my alignment appt. in the morning and the run to Relief Reservoir on Sunday.

Cheers to all three of you guys :proposetoast:

Pics to come in the morning when there is some light.

^^^THIS^^^ Right here is exactly the reason I love TacomaWorld. A big assed group of people willing to drop what they're doing and help out someone that needs help.

I wasn't stranded by any means yesterday. But I was also on the recieving end of some greatly appreciated help from 3 fellow TWers.

I think we have a GREAT group here local, and now I'm even more excited about our meet up tomorrow.

    Props to you @Pickeledpigsfeet!

Just for the record. Want to get this off my chest. Sitting at McCoy Tire on McHenry waiting on my alignment. Came here because everyone I talk to says they are the best and know how to adjust SPC upper control arms.

But let me say unequivicolly... the guy behind the counter is a TOTAL FUCKING ASSHOLE.

I'm sitting here, and he has been a total fucking punk to 5 customers in a row. If my truck wasn't already on the rack, I'd tell him to fuck the hell off!

I feel like calling him to ask why he is being an asshole. I won't be going there for my alignment.

I talked to the alignment tech... he does know his shit. The guy at the counter as the jack ass. Maybe he was just pissed he was working Saturday, I don't know.

    Hello fellow TW members!

I wanted to drop in real quick and introduce myself. My name is John and I'm from the NO. If you have been keeping up with the 1st gen section I recently posted up a Tacoma I was interested in and ended up purchasing. I was able to meet @Uphillshunter in the process, great guy. Gave me some pointers and helped me out with some good advice. I haven't been active much since I purchase the truck over 2 weeks ago? So far I have detailed the whole interior (removed seats) and changed out the stock stereo which took a few days on and off. I'll post up some pictures when I get the chance. Next on the list is detailing the engine bay and outside of the truck. I don't mind a dirty truck but I rather have it get dirty from me. Also this lets me fully inspect the truck to know it's condition and what I should give attention to. Oh, its a fully stock 02 Taco DC 4x4.

Hopefully when funds and time permits I'll be able to upgrade my suspension, looking at the full OME kit with UCA and spring pack on Wheelers. I would also like to change out my exhaust system since it's rusty, looking at the Magnaflow, Flowmaster and Gibson system. However it pass CA smog fine so probably no rush on that. Then on my dream list is a full Relentless front Summit Bumper, wrap around plate rear bumper, and rock slider :)

Alright everyone, have a good day and safe trip this weekend!

I just did, cleaned mine inside and out yesterday. That way I know how dirty I get it tomorrow.

Not bad enough to get me to not go tomorrow... but need to be replaced sooner rather than later.
