209 TACOS - B/S and shenanigans

I went with bolt on, dom, kickout, fill plates and powdercoat at 20 degrees.

 

AKA damn near 200 pounds lol

 

Might be time to put my 700lb springs on.

 

I saw Marlin Crawler is making sliders again. They’re based out of Fresno and they’ll weld them on if you need (at least I think they do).

Might be worth checking out.

I’m a big fan of Marlin stuff.

I've been down twice now to pick up goodies from @JLee
First some LCA skids, CMC plates, and my 10 degree DOM bolt-on w/kick out raw sliders, then most recently my IFS and PC repair powder. If you have the time to wait, his armor is beast.

 

Ordered! Now the long wait begins.

So I last minute decided to go bolt on, DOM and still unpainted. Total with TW discount is $666

Not happy about it, but well worth it in the long run. I was aware of the wait time before buying. Patience, some things are worth waiting for.

 

Did you happen to ask him (Chassis Unlimited) if he does kickout sliders? I only see straight sliders on his page. I like his prices and what his leadtimes will probably look like... but I definitely want kickout sliders.

 

It is what it is. Kinda wish I would have ordered them a few months back though.

 

It’s actually someone else from heavy metal off-road. He does the install and measurements so his sliders are legit build to order. According to him you can do whatever you want to the sliders.

 

What kind of price range would I be looking at for Double Cab sliders? (Think I'm looking at 80 inches).

only go DOM if you plan on hard rock crawling.

 

For a $70 upgrade, I figure it'd be worth it for most to go with DOM, just in case they decide to get more hardcore later...

 

This is true, you just have to carry the extra weight and with some people they will never use it so the savings on weight is nice.

 

One thing that makes me sad about my taco... is after armor and camp gear theres no much (official) capacity for my fat ass.
