Killer attention to detail, I'm enjoying this thread. I've done plenty of rc over the years, but nothing scale like this. This takes a special kind of patience lol

With this attention to detail with all the body filler, will it end up cracking if you cycle the suspension?

I hope it doesn't. Each panel is glued together the entire length. Then thicker glue us used to fill most of the gaps. I use the body filler for the final 1/32 to 1/16 because its much easier to work with than the rock hard glue. After sanding if anything is left I just use filler primer. But this is my 1st try at this so only time will tell on what's gonna happen.

Do you plan to operate it when done? Or is it your intention to have an operational scale model? I would have to build some sort of scale trail to show this thing off!

It's mostly for something to do during winter months. Mostly a working replica but I will mess around with it. I do plan to get the new Tacoma IFS suspension when the prototype is done. Still got a long way to go.

Today I took a break from body work. Trying to match my truck as much as possible I built mirrors with built in ditch and Meso puddle lights. I think it will work.

Thanks, I think they output is really close to scale and puddle light pattern is pretty good.

    I agree, looks spot on.

Did you have to use your spare mirrors , or did you nail it in the first try?

Were these or the real deal more nerve racking to make ?

First try. Had to measure in mm to decimals. Lol...definitely real mirrors are more intense.

    Nice. Glad everything worked out.

Did you ever find the Rays 10’s , or something similar for the build?

Actually I did but its covered by the prinsu so I may just paint that area gloss black to mimic the sunroof. I've only opened mine when I installed sound deadening on the roof.

Yeah it would probably be more trouble than it’s worth.

Lol, I’m the same way. I was like I want the sunroof, and only used it a hand full of times. I have to adjust my cross bars on the Prinsu now bc I miscalculated for the sunroof, and one bar is in the way :frusty:.

Mocking up pattern to make a custom grill. Pattern was easy. Finding mesh or screen to match my grill a little harder.

Did a little messing around with BHLM. I only have white lights to test with. Have to order some Amber LED's but headlight and DRL work pretty good.
